You guys thinking that Brassard might be a bit hurt as well with his 4th line demotion? Sully has done such before with Horny last year. Just pondering...

Yes. Much more disciplined defensively and they're still getting good chances.

not sure its my place to answer BUT

pens controlled play for 13 or so mins but Holtby was great
Murray looking a little shaky but seems to be settling in
both penalty kills look solid
pens killing their own momentum with bad penalties
lots of hitting on both sides

No I think we might just have a James Neal situation where he's not gonna meet his potential on this team until his first full season. He's been underwhelming and Sheahan's been great. If you're Sully and running a meritocracy its only fair.

i can only speak for myself obviously but youre always welcome to answer to anything i post haha i know youre an object rational dude regardless of flyers. i didnt get to see any of that first 13 mins or so but it looked like they had some shots on the board at least. pens PK looks good but man they cant keep testing it. only a four minute or so sample size but murray really looks like hes fighting it and just hoping it hits his body.

a meritocracy is what i want. sheahan has been good. i think hell get ice time either way. i do agree with you. i was really excited about the brassard trade for next year, especially with retained salary.

Great effort from the PK and from Ruhwedel right before. Been a tense, even 1st.

Yeah. Momentum really shifted to the caps a little before those two bad penalties.

That you can have an elite release and not have the other parts of shooting down that are necessary to beat goalies and score. The release is natural. The rest is development. Sprong needs to develop because right now he only has the release.

I’m still trying to find out what Brass does well. He seems mediocre at everything. Certainly not what I was expecting.

I have to be honest, I'm kind of hoping he still a little dinged up 'cause he's not skating like he did with the Sens. If he's completely healthy, maybe we should have stuck with Sheahan and gotten Kane and a 4th line center instead.
