And from the other angle it looks like there’s only shoulder contact which is why I think it’s somewhere in between: a borderline hit that deserved a double minor due to blood but I think the argument that he was targeting the head is pretty suspect, unlike the Dumo hit which I’ve watch a million times and can’t find a way to argue that he was targeting anything but the head.

I've watched 3 angles this 1 shows his face where the others show in front & the other side. Shoulder direct to ZAR face Vic. That's why he has a broken jaw.

Funniest thing the ref was right there, but poop himself & ran away. The ref should be reprimanded for dereliction of duty.

I think this one was worse than the Dumo hit, but it doesn't matter at this point. Pens need scoring from guys not named Sid and Jake. It's (frank)ing brutal out there.

Pens didn't lose the game on Wilson's antics. Lack of scoring from everyone not on the top line and shaky goal-tending were the main problems. I just hate head shots and want to see the league start coming down hard on them.

It's crazy that more people aren't female doging about this... Should have been a penalty that led directly to a game winning goal. I'm surprised the refs didn't huddle to call that a good clean check as well before going to the Washington bench to cup the Cap's collective nuts.

The penalty (or lack of) wasn't what led to the goal. It was the egregious turnover and his positioning that led to the goal. That 2-on-1 is happening even if he doesn't get slew footed.

That said, it was a slew foot that didn't get called. I'm not going to go further than that right now, because I like most of you.

Not sure about that? Left shoulder came straight into his jaw which probably broke it. The jaw is 1 of the toughest bones in the body, so there was extreme force.

I asked before, when does this start being charging? Puck was away & Wilson wasn't going to let up no matter what, on All 3 hits so far - 2 from behind.

That's where I get lost in these arguments.... so if a hitter is aiming for someone's head but just happens to glance of his shoulder pad, it's a clean hit?

I get its impossible to determine true intent but if a guy is punished or not because he failed to hit his target..... that's a really (frank)ed up system.

The puck is away and then the guy gets leveled.... it's a similar play to what hurt Hags.... puck is gone and then the guy gets laid out for absolutely no reason other than intent to injure.

Wilson left his feet with enough force that he LANDED IN THE FRICKING BENCH! I don't know how it wasn't called charging either.
- Emperor Filonius

It wasn't called charging because he doesn't leave his feet prior to contact. I thought the same thing until I saw this:

But it was definitely a predatory hit.

I was livid, the guy launched himself and finished his check on the bench I seen him curl back and charge from the opposite blue line on the otherside of the ice. Anyway, im sure the league will handle it lol where the fvck is brassard the guy was a pens assasin now he looks like sheary in a different jersey?

Horrible game. If the pens lose and have a second round exit this season will be a horrible horrible complete failure and should herald the start of the rebuild. Sell malkin kessel letang and sid. Anything other than the cup is a complete failure.
