You can't rebuild by adding a skilled and experienced player in his prime? I know Hextall feels this way but Holmgren felt like Jagr had a positive effect on the young players. I wouldn't be surprised if Detroit was interested in Tavares as they were Stamkos. - SuperSchennBros
Yes, if you can add an experienced player via UFA, just as Jagr and Tavares would be (and as Stamkos would have been), I agree. But trading a top-10 pick for a skilled vet does not seem like the best way to rebuild.
In my opinion. |

Sure. However Ken Holland doesn't do things the same way as everyone else. He's been known to trade away first rounder over the years. |

Nodl was a good 4th liner, he just could not finish to save his life. Very good skater, played a decent 2-way game, had hands of stone when it came to shooting.
Did have one decent season, though. - jmatchett383
I will never forget putting him on waivers to "gauge interest" |

Andreas Nodl was probably the best of the three and still felt like such a huge waste of a roster spot just like the guys you mentioned. - SuperSchennBros

Pure speculation, but judging on how he eats his Kit Kats, I would say milk then cereal. |

Yet he had been a big scorer in college hockey and was projected to do the same in the NHL. Never can tell how a player will turn out.
BTW, he teased for two months in the NHL when he was put on Mike Richards' line with the Flyers. Actually did start scoring goals for awhile, then promptly stopped.
Side note: Flyers assistant GM Chris Pryor is Nödl's father-in-law. |

So you could say his scoring woes didn't stick with him off the ice?

Haven't ppsted in awhile but continued to read bills blog. Never have i been more appreciative of our blogger than recently reading that another blogger didn't watch the game of a team he supposedly covers. |
