Keep the picks and make good picks. I don’t see a glowing need to move up. Tampa has the best stocked prospect cupboard in the league. I don’t recall them always looking to move up.

I watched the OT's....great game....game 7 double OT...weak goal to win though. Frost played good. Bunnaman played pretty good as well. |

And Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov.
I think as long as you're drafting good players you will be alright. I wasn't trying to knock down the thought of getting an elite (or close to elite) player out of this draft, just saying they have two chances at doing so with 14 and 19. I do trust that Hextall understands if he values one guy a lot higher and has the chance to get him he will make the move. |

I agree and disagree. I disagree just bc we have had a plethora of picks since Hexy has taken over and still have a lot between this draft and next. Hexy also has drafted some solid non-1st rounders as well.

This can't be. Only players taken in the top 5 spots can be elite. |

The only way I would trade up into the top 5 would be if I could get Zadina, Svech, or Wahlstrom without giving up more than 14, 19, and a decent prospect. |

Neither Zadina nor Svech probably falls any lower than 4th and it will cost too much to get there. However I can see Wahlstrom still being on the board when Vancouver picks at 7 or even Chicago at 8 and they might be teams to reach out to.
Those 3 are the only forwards that I'd consider moving up into the top 10 for. I think at least one of Farabee, Kotkaniemi or Hayton will still be on the board at 14 and I'd also be very happy with any one of those 3.
Edit: There are also a of Dmen that I'd be interested in moving up to the back half of the top 10 if they are still on the board. At least one of Dobson, Boqvist or Bouchard will also still likely be on the board beyond pick #7 so again, Chicago could be a team to talk to. |

Dare I say take on Seabrook’s contract to lessen the cost 😬?

Yea I completely agree. I wouldn't mind trading up to 7 or 8 and taking one of Wahlstrom, Bouchard, Boqvist or Dobson.
But if you want Wahlstrom you're going to have to go to 7 or 8 because I highly doubt he makes it past the Rags at 9. |

No. That contract is terrible. They would need to pay us to take that deal off their hands.
But would you take on 2 years of Crawford's deal? Would he upgrade the goalie situation here? They seem to want to clear cap space and I remember his name was out there last year as being available. |

I say no too. Was just joking. Tbh I haven’t even watched enough Blackhawks hockey to know if Seabrook is worth that contract anymore. |

The only catch is that I believe Crawford spent most of the season dealing with some nasty vertigo issues. Unless he can pass a physical and show the vertigo is fully gone, I'd want no part of him. If he is healthy though, and they were willing to take Neuvirth back as part of the deal, than yeah, I'd be fine with that.
