I kind of hope that Det picks Bouchard so van gets to choose Dobson or Hughes.

Detroit is going to draft tkachuk.

Detroits most recent draft picks. They draft on size.
They've drafted like 3 different centers who are 6'5

Holland is an old school GM, the bigger the better.

Benning also said that he believes in drafting the best player available so if any of his “top 6” fall we’re probably drafting that kid, even if it’s not a RHD

If no one drops then I fully expect a RHD.

I don't necessarily believe that. They need D. Kronwall retiring soon.

I wonder if Jb has someone higher then others again like EP.

I was watching the Fin vs Swe u18 game today. Santeri Samela.
http://www.eliteprospects.../player.php?player=318146

He was the best Finnish defender. Played 38 games in the men's league isn't 18 till June. Ranked 57 in euro skaters. I'm quite surprised at his ranking. Not going to put up points but his defence game was solid.

Wahlstrom only concerns me with his scoring before and after Jack hughes arrived.

30 points in 26 Games before he arrived. (1.15 PPG)
53 points in 28 Games after he arrived. (1.89 PPG)

Good find, a 17 year dman playing in a euro men’s league is pretty intriguing

2 things i key in on for prosoects is how they fared in the NCAA & SEL. Both leagues produce top NHL ready talent most of the time. IMO the NCAA is a bread n butter for picking players. The USNDP has grown talent constantly & continues to get even better.

The CHL is good but other leagues have caught up.

Here's a scenario, draft Quinn hughs then win the lotto next year and draft his brother jack in van.

That's higher then Tkachuk who did miss the draft by a single day.

Tkachuk was really good in the WJ playing with Mittelstadt. Seems as if they are both good complimentary players.

Tkachuk and Walhstrom probably would thrive playing on EP's wing.

Tkachuk EP Boeser would be like Tkachuk Mittelstadt Bellows probably the best line in the WJ.
