I Cant remember the flyers maintaining such a passive forecheck in all my years watching them. They were getting annihilated before the switch

As for Don Saleski's take on Grapes, I think the opinions of the likes of Wayne Cashman, Stan Jonathan and Lanny McDonald on Grapes should be heard. Those guys(and a few more third liners like Jean Ratelle) would go through walls for him.

They have to get faster and move the puck around quicker. When I watch these other teams they don’t lug it around as much as the flyers do. Passes are quicker than skating every time
