It's been a weird series. I don't think we're as bad as we were in game 1 and 2: Bruins just capitalized on every mistake and there were many. That doesn't typically happen when good teams play good teams.

Freddie came alive in Game 6, but we put on a defensive clinic in the 3rd, so hopefully they're learning. Mirtle said that the players talked about how they're learning so much this series, so regardless of the outcome, this is an improvement over last year's series.

Also goes to show how little we need Bozak and Komarov (still on the fence with JVR), but glad we have them for the depth this year; trading them at the deadline would've been tight without more rental help, because there's not a lot waiting in the wing with the Marlies up front.

Second and third in division, we would meet first round. Leafs first in division, Wings get third, separate opening rounds, both advance and may face each other second round

I think the Bruins out-lucked the leafs for the majority of the series and a lot of bounces and calls went their way. We were still dominated often, but we dominated at times ourselves.
I really hope there aren't any crazy horsepoop calls or bounces tonight and it's just a matter of one team outplaying the other, for better or worse.* We'll see.



*Okay, a bit of leafs luck would still be appreciated.

I think if you’re a fan of hockey & the nhl, it doesn’t really matter who wins tonight. What matters is that the players have fun, both teams come to play, and Marchand suffers a career ending injury.
