he is definitely a few cans short of a six-pack - jimbo83
He's a cut up plastic ring from a 6 pack. |

Carried over form last blog, Open sots for next year's roster:
Today @ 9:47 AM ET
so how many open spots are there next year?
Gone are:
DD
Mcleod
Holden
Carey
Nash (maybe)
Grabner (maybe)
Im not including the young guys who are question marks, wonder how many new guys are signed this summer
- mrn22
To start I think you only have 4 Defensemen that you can say will be on the roster next year:
Shatty, Skjei, Pionk, Staal (everyone else to me isn't guaranteed anything)
Then 2 goalies: Hank and Georgiev or someone they sign and let Georgiev play the full season in Hartford
Then you have a ton of RFAs at Forward and possible trades at the draft + Picks.. so god only knows up front |

thanks for bringing up Nash and the concussion
every single time Nash comes back from a concussion, he becomes a perimeter player who gets a lot of shots on net and that's about it
don't want him back, he's damaged goods, too many concussions for me |

Unfortunately this is true. I no longer want him back unless it is for absolutely dirt cheap. He just can't be relied upon, especially if he is chewing up too much cap space. It's a shame, when he is not playing that perimeter game he is a force. |

New coach should do a 50/30 split with Hank and Georgi |

That would be good for everyone. He will be nice and rested for the cup run with Tavares scoring 100+ points. |

Noooooo....another blog that will turn into a Miller slobber fest.....
Before that begins....please remind yourselves that he is playing with the two best linemates in the NHL! |

Ok, so apparently I still like Nash enough to keep sticking up for him.
You need to watch him more closely. Yes, I know his numbers. But, he has not played the way we all expected he most likely would. I have seen him drive hard to the net, try to make it around around the defender to get to the front, get into scrums after the whistle... All the things you want to see a power forward do. And I was thrilled to see this concussion hasn't seemed to hamper him the way they have previously.
Part of his lack of scoring is him. We here all know this. But, part of it has been Andersen, too. He has played a hell of a series to date.
And since I picked them to win this in 7 (and, without planning to, to win the Cup), Go Bruins!!! |

lol. I thought of that after I posted! So, just two games with an empty net? That's a bold strategy, Cotton! |

Wasn’t and isn’t the intent. I didn’t slobber, but can if ask nicely 😄. I would say Gorton gets two As and the third incomplete until we see what happens but likely a B as of now. |

I am not disagreeing. But it’s a situation like in NY where he does everything but score. For Boston, that’s why he was brought in as a rental. So if he doesn’t light the lamp, especially if they lose Game 7, he will be viewed as a failure. |

I think of him as Martin Hanzal. Decent center, but probably won't score a ton. But they need deoth down the middle. So I'm good with it. |

Yep. I'm actually really excited by the whole turnover. The prospects we snagged, the draft picks, the next steps for Lias and Chytil. And, I might cut a hole in date night with the wife this Saturday to see the draft lottery!! |
