There was one backhand clearing attempt that was a little iffy but otherwise he looked good out there. - TheMussel
Of course he did.
Plekanec is a good player, despite being older, slower and not producing offensively. |

What about that Gardiner special late in the second period (I think?)
That was just vintage Jake |

Marner on Plekanec: "He's a helluva player. He's very good at shutting down top players. He's done it a long time in Montreal & I got to see it first hand tonight. He's always above people, always above the puck & when he gets it in his hands he always makes a smart play." - Symba007
I think Plekanec needed to have a specific role assigned to be effective and not just 'go out there for 9 minutes and skate' |

Is that the play that gave a great opportunity to Debrusk?
Seriously, despite Andersen being weak on the Chara goal (which I guess he bought back with the ridiculous save on Pastrnak)... Toronto needs to tighten up defensively to make it far in the playoffs. Bruins had at least 4-5 golden missed opportunity. |

For all the heat he got yesterday.
Plekanec played a good game. - Scabeh
To be fair, that heat was warranted. He has sucked every game he's played as a Leaf. Except yesterday. Now we can go back to harping on Komarov If Babcock makes him a healthy scratch, he will be the bestestest coach to ever coach anything. |

Don't forget ugly, poorly dressed, and of questionable career history and team loyalties. |

Yeah, I had this to say about that one:
Gardiner needs to donate his brain to science after he dies so that we can figure out what the hell is wrong with him and find a cure. |

Certainly a big part of it. Playing with good players makes other players better. That's a perk of playing with good players. Marner can make anyone look good. I think giving him an important assignment helped to. Someone said it a bit ago, having a purpose helps elevate a game, instead of just saying, okay go and skate for a bit. |

The really interesting question is how does Kadri fit back into the lineup if Plekcs continues to play well against Bergeron...
