And he has, what’s your point? I feel like a)players push harder, train harder, study the game harder in order to make it then they did in your day and b) teams are better at identifying the players who will actually play, be it analytics or not.

I doubt they would give up a lottery pick to dump a one year contract. I was thinking they would part with a 2nd perhaps. I still have trouble envisioning Galardi and Aqulini ever completing a trade.

That's just nonsense, it's water under the bridge and if either GM feels they can make their team better I have no reason to believe why Jim Nill and Jim Benning couldn't facilitate a trade.

IMO if Dallas doesn't get a good position, the lottery spots are assigned well before the June draft, then they might be willing to trade as Benn and Seguin are in their prime, they wanna compete now I'd guess.

They badly need some players that can play defense at forward and defense.
Also, not sure if they are in cap problems like some suggest. The cap is going up, they have no significant free agents of there own too sign and will have about 20 million to spend.
