They're both really good and could both be labeled as #1 Defenseman. Which is a good thing for Columbus. Who cares who is slightly better than the other. I do think Werenski has the higher ceiling though.

All three had above 70 points, so i don't think that should points should have been a factor. When you get into the nitty gritty, Hedman plays with Noah Dobson. Exactly, who the (frank) is that. Martin is a very solid partner, clearly Karlsson misses Methot.

To me the only guys playing at that top level regardless of partner are Doughty, Hedman and this year Carlson who's played with Kempny for a good chunk of the year. But the defensive side seems to be less valued, so it's pretty likely Carlson gets it this year.
