norris is a regular season trophy and Hedman was better overall than both Burns and Karlsson. Karlsson is getting better defensively but is not in the same class as Doughty/Hedman. I guess we both agree it shouldn't have been Burns, that guy is a serious liability in his own end.
- neem55

Yeah I know it's regular season. I think Karlsson made strides during the season that allowed him to help his team to where they got. I don't think players learn things in the playoffs. I think they learn how to play playoff hockey in the regular season. Burns somehow had a better +/- then both of them last year. More points and ppg. He did lead his team in scoring (same with KArlsson). Level of competition he played against I don't know. He won it, clearly deserved it.

Thanks Carol

I just got over my ban for asking the leafs if 'Mathews had broken Nylanders Hymen?'

So sensitive over there... but they are a little wienerly over the upcoming sweep.

Who's your choice for Norris?

Hedman for me, Doughty is right there also.

- neem55

God I dislike that goof. If he doesn't turn this series around he's going to look like a fool. And that makes me happy.

I'm pretty sure we disagreed last year, you are bigger on Karlsson than me if my memory serves me correctly.
- neem55

You should find out soon I think he keeps a book on everything anyone has posted about players, standings, etc....

If you want to troll leaf fan you got to do it outside of their thread. That place is a great example of oligarchy.

Manvan takes this stuff very seriously. This isn't for fun. We have responsibilities to sort this mess out.

You, Danny and Beatle were all asking for Leafman to step in, and he did...and now that the Leafs have finally made the playoffs two years in a row, well the trolling over there is reminiscent to when Vancouver were a good team.

All three had above 70 points, so i don't think that should points should have been a factor. When you get into the nitty gritty, Hedman plays with Noah Dobson. Exactly, who the (frank) is that. Martin is a very solid partner, clearly Karlsson misses Methot.

To me the only guys playing at that top level regardless of partner are Doughty, Hedman and this year Carlson who's played with Kempny for a good chunk of the year. But the defensive side seems to be less valued, so it's pretty likely Carlson gets it this year.

Johnson on Kole Lind after 6 games, "I like a lot of things he did, he got better in erach game. It is a great experience for him, we have been preaching how big the jump is to the AHL for prospects.

Well he certainly is no Lucas Jasek (waits for Booner)

Parity between teams seems to be less and less almost every year. I like that a team can win on any given night, especially in the playoffs. Colorado giving Nashville all they can handle.

If Varlomov wasn’t hurt that series would be tied at 1.

This is true... I saw it coming.

But someone posting a top line of Hyman Mathews and Nylander was to good to resist.

So true, man I hate the leafs and hope they get bounced in 4, but it is better to ridicule in here than over there.

I haven't been doing a very good job then. The last thing I wrote down was who was and wasn't on board with JB's signing. That was before he even re-signed. You've never made any sort of comment worthy of even making "the page"

The mail order ones tend to be a little 'sheltered'.

Edit: And what the hell are Ants on a log?
