I had a dream that you made so many pizzas you opened up a by the slice shop next to a marijuana dispensary in Sooke. I think we won the lottery too.

I think JD Burke has Hughes at #2 for whatever that’s worth. Would be unfortunate to pass up an elite offensive talent for a larger, safer, much more average player. It’s not like the Canucks have done this in the past though, so I’m sure they will take the best player available when the time comes...

He is the same giy that thinks Hutton is a legitimate top 4 defenseman.

If Dobson is available he will be their pick. I don't think they have any interest in Hughes.
- CanuckDon

According to rumors, Dobson is high on JBs list. Hughes and Boqvist not so much

Not a fan of Damien Cox, but, he made a good comment about todays style of hockey.
He saiď with LA and the soon to be eliminated, it means the death of "heavy" hockey.
Todays game is just to fast too play that way, with no time given for making plays.
A much better comment than saying the league is going smaller and faster.

Hughes doesnt even make my top 5 in defenseman

Dahlin
Bouchard
Dobson
Boqvist
Wilde
Samuelsson
Woo
MacIsaac

I would take Bahl before Hughes.

Strong take, bodqvist will be drafted before Dobson. Write it down...

That's worth nothing Vinty. Guy is a tool. In regards to passing up on a higher upside dman for a safe player I don't think that applies this draft outside of Tkachuk. Dahlin is Dahlin. Boq and Hughes both have high end skill and defensive question marks. Bouchard? Dobson? Well Bouchard has elite offensive ability as well but there are questions about his compete level and skating. Dobson is being viewed as a "safe and boring" pick by some which isn't accurate.

It's not his fault he doesn't have notable flaws. Kid can skate, has size and can contribute at both ends of the ice. For comparisons sake, Juolevi had 44 points (.73 ppg) on a stacked team while Dobson has 69 points (1.02). He has first pairing potential.

Juolevi was a safe pick but I don't really think that label applies to any of the D in the top 10 outside of Dahlin.

It will be interesting to see if Bouchard or Dobson will still be available at 6 to 8.

Did they speak of any restrictions? Will the grocery stores have to be located a certain distance from private liquor stores?
