I thought for the longest time JT was be back, but it's not looking good. If he gets to 7/1 and can talk to other teams it could be really tough for JT to re-sign with the Isles.
- ses111

Why JT or any other top flight player who is a UFA wouldn't test the waters w/ other teams doesn't make sense to me. Unless of course, his team is a contender, which the Isles aren't at this time. Gotta at least enjoy the process if Im JT...no?

Hell yeah. I'd want out of this shiitshow of an organization as soon as I could, too. But like you said, if the team is a perennial contender then that's a different story.

No way. It will just be a title. He will just be collecting a check with minimal input IMO if they don't outright fire his arse
- Vukota

I would like to agree with you on this but I'm having a real hard time believing he's going to get promoted and have no input as far as the team. I have a feeling Wang signed him to a more lucrative, iron clad contract than any of us suspected and they have to justify his existence. I also believe that's the only reason he's still here and why Ledecky seemed so pissed at that "press conference" due to the negative publicity this has gotten and him having his hands somewhat tied. I read somewhere his contract is rumored to be 50 million for 10 years(Compton, Friedman?, can't remember?) not sure if there's any truth to that but that's a real scary thought and would explain a lot.

It really would explain a lot Cpt. Ledecky cannot be pleased with all the negative attention and he did not seem happy at all during that conference and I do not think it was an act. I just hope it all works out and a new GM is hired. Rather have an experienced GM, but Fitzgerald seems to be a solid choice if it turns out to be him.

You would think JT would want to explore his options on 7/1? I'm not sure if the Isles bring in another GM before 7/1 if that changes anything? It would at least give JT something else to think about regarding the Isles.

Fuck JT! He's had the entire year to "consider" this. You either want to stay here or you don't. He's seen what Snow can do (which is nothing). He knows this team won't contend. Shit or get off the pot. He's essentially holding the club hostage. And if he is in the owners' ears saying he wants shitbag Snow to stay, then I'd definitely want him out of here. If he wants to explore free agency, then fine. Do it. Say it. No one here would blame him.

You are not wrong hockeyman. JT has had more than enough time to decide whether he wants to stay ore not. Maybe he is waiting to see if a new GM is brought in? I just posted something from Botta.

I can understand this and I also have to understand L&M have to know how bad it will be to come back and say we did the evaluations and Garth and Doug are staying. These guys care about the negative press and the reaction to the billboard proves it.

That and the going into hiding.

*edit. You would think they know how bad it would be, but we have no idea. If Snow somehow manages to pull the wool over their eyes again, he might even be able to finagle himself an extension.

It's going to get a whole lot worse if Garth manages to survive this. We really need to get these 1st round series over with. No offense to Devils and Leafs fans.

In the podcast Vukota posted yesterday Botta said Snow's contract was probably not that much. He also said the NHL wouldn't allow an iron clad contract. He thinks there is something in the works.

As I've said before I'll only believe it if it happens. As much as I want to see pictures of Snow standing on a loading dock waiting for an Uber to pick him up à la Gallant, I think he is staying in the organization.

Like I've said a thousand times already, I think JT walks for nothing and Snow keeps his job. Just a bad feeling. Naturally, I'd be absolutely giddy if L&M Stated they were going to fire him into orbit without the benefit of a spacesuit & all fans were invited to give Snow a pre-ignition wiener punch. Snow cannot have his hands anywhere near this team.

They kept milbury on but be had no say in any hockey decisions after he stepped down. It's on the podcast vukota posted. So he can be kept and gave no say on hockey ops and just bring over kids for isles tournament's etc
