I agree. Was it Wilson who missed the one-timer I in OT? They deserved to win. Now they need to take 2 on the road. I don't think they have it in them to come back |

The capitals have scored 2 even strength goals so far, 1 per game, in this series. They can only score on the PP when they throw ovie out there for 1:45 or more of each and ride or die. The possession numbers for them were better in game 2 but this is still the worst even strength team to make the playoffs. |

Year after year after year the Caps seem to come up against a really hot goalie. |

If Caps can play entire game on PP than maybe they can win

HAHA.....Every team in playoffs has a good goalie, and most of them are playing well, soo the "bad luck, we came up against a hot goalie" is a worthless argument.
Caps simply can't win 5 on 5

I know it seems that way, and I'd even agree most of the time, but they were just flat out dominating last night at 5v5. |

The Caps appear to have finally figured out a way to avoid suffering the indignity of losing to the Pens in the second round every year by just losing in the first round. Bravo. Much more efficient. |

The stats for the Penguins going down 0-2 to the Caps in a series is, Pens win, 100% of the time... Love the taste of Tanner Tears... |

Gotta feel bad for Holtby!
Can't really blame him for any loses in the past few years in playoffs.

Maybe he comes out with something to prove game 3. Certainly possible. Problem is he has to out dual Bob 4/ 5 games.
Tall order. |

That's what i'm fearing, Trotz artificially induced some sense of urgency into Holtby , either he looks like a genius or this breaks..... |

Goaltending isn't the problem for the Caps....Obviously, Hotlby standing on his head wouldn't hurt, but Caps need to stop shooting themselves in the foot (i.e. bad turnovers, penalties, team defense) |

The most annoying part about this series is whoever wins it probably has to play the Bettmans.
Notice the gentleman uncomfortably sitting next to him in game 2

The last two years it was Pitt, neither goalie played that well... try again?
Bobrovsky has been unreal, but columbus is just playing better in most areas. Jones is probably the best player in the series (or bob), which is a real problem considering the talent on the Caps. This is their coming out party as a contender for the next 6-7 years. |

Having watched last nights game I've come to the conclusion the Caps play way too much like the Leafs, which is why they'll never win, they're too easy to play against. No sandpaper to their lineup.
That fancy offensive game is for the regular season, you need to bring a heavier game in the playoffs and they just don't have the guys to do that. |
