Seemed like Giroux expected to lose or something; when they showed in him even in the 2nd, just seemed uninterested already. - ghostibator
Team is weird. They've been hot and cold all season. I could see them winning next game. (frank)ing crazy. |

I havent really had any complaints on the D. Weal will not improve this team either. Putting either in would be a mistake IMO
Fact is this team relies on the fans. When Pittsburgh scored, crowd went quiet and Flyers were never seen again. JAke and Giroux have been pretty invisible. This game comes down to the fact that our best players are not our best players in the game, we had some bad luck in terms of the goal on the PK where Read lost his stick but you cant take this many Penalties against the best PP team in the league and expect to win. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Weal had 3 point game last time he faced Pens. I’m not saying he will again, but maybe he comes out flying and hungry and adds some speed. I want Hagg in for his physicality. No I don’t mean headhunting, he usually delivers clean checks. I’m sick of Manning. |

So, just got out of bed, good morning all. How is Sid playing? I know he's your favourite Pens player. - Aussiepenguin
Not much of a fan I see. A true fan would be awake at the start. |

It's painful to watch this game, all the fire from game 2 has been left behind in Pittsburgh.
It's like after the first 10 minutes, they went into full dumb mode. - 77rams
They are playing a team that owns them. They have a narrow window to get ahead and make the Pens take chances. The 3 games were pretty similar. Flyers had their chances early in all 3. Games 1 and 3 they failed to capitalize. Game 2 they did. Once the Pens are ahead the players know its over and its just a matter of running out the minutes. |

Thing with G. To a point I can understand if he is outplayed by guys like Malkin/Crosby. Hell same with Voracek.
What is not acceptable is the stupid penalties and both guys have been liabilities at times. |

I like the guy but I would rather get some more skill on this team. Simmonds is going to pretty much be a high paid grinder. I know he still gets 20-30 goals but unless he is in front of the net, the guy is useless - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Thing is Simmonds isn't scoring that many goals here since Patrick has started drinking his milkshake.
It's time to say thnaks for everything and move on. |

Th problem I see it is that the Flyers need a lot to go right to win a game. The Pens don’t have to as evident by the 1st Period. |

But for the weak slashing call on Giroux, all the penalties were deserved. - 77rams
Call it both ways. Pitt deserved 3 tripping calls that were over looked. Only called one of them and Bassard cried about it.
Being beaten none the less. They can get back in this game with a goal here...or two...or three. Ok. I'm just trying to stay positive.

One team are the defending back to back Stanley Cup champions.
The other teams is not.
It shouldnt be surprising to anyone that the Pens took that opening 10 mins, rolled with it and then took over the game. |

I can guarantee Simmons could probably outplay Simmonds on The ice right now. |

5am puck drop here, I did that for the gold medal 2 Olympics ago when Sid & Kuni won Canada gold but for game 3 round 1 - I'm sleeping. I must say it looks like I have missed a bit. |

For next game..
Manning out for Hagg
TK to the first line
Sign Carey Price? - opeth_pa
And bring in a coach that understands how to adapt a defensive system to not allow 5 goals per game avg vs pens. And play someone who wants to finish a check. Leave a few bruises for next couple games |

I think they will. Need to adjust the line-up a bit though.
Simmonds is like a pylon, what happened to that guy?
Voracek and G will get something going, and I think the young guys get it done.
Game 5 though? Who knows. |

They actually came out really well. Couple of goals by the Pens and they completely fell apart. Mentally fragile, and its not the kids. Other than Lind they have been the best players. |

After the flyers didn’t score early you knew that killed them.
I remember the Montreal series in 2010 where all the flyers had to do was get past the first 10 minutes of what the habs tried to throw at them then that was it |

I'm only for trading Simmer if the return is big. No way do I let this second half scare me off of a guy like him too quick.

I really haven't liked the way lindbolm and raffle have played today. I think raffle needs to be taken off that top line. Whole team seemed to quit five min into the second. |
