So, back before the playoffs started, I said I was fine with getting the Pens.

That was partly because I truly believe that while the Flyers have some weaker matchups against them, I still believed the Flyers could win the series if they played well. Still believe it, obviously.

But I also said I wanted no part of Tampa or Boston. Those two teams are showing why. NJ was crazy to want that fight, and Boston is killing Toronto

For the record, these were the five best teams I thought I saw all year, through multiple viewings:

1. Winnipeg -- and I am not even joking
2. Boston
3. Nashville
4. Tampa Bay
5. Anaheim (after they got healthy)

As for today, with last change, I would like for the Flyers to tighten up a bit more on Crosby -- which I know is a difficult task -- and try to take away some of the looks he was getting in Pittsburgh.

You can't take everything away -- Malkin and Kessel, etc., are dangerous. We all know that.

But they are a huge problem when Crosby and Guentzel get points. When they get rolling, it's harder to beat them. So hopefully with last change and national TV timeouts, the Flyers get the kind of matchups they want.

As for the rest of it, Giroux could clean up his game a bit more. I think Simmonds has to be hurt. They definitely need to make sure they watch their puck management.

Ha! I simply concede nothing -- even though the Pens have more firepower overall, you still have to play the right way and do the right things to beat them, because they don't have so much talent that they cannot be beaten

I didn't say they would shut down Crosby. I am honest enough to admit he could've/should've had at least one goal last game, maybe another. But they have to make sure they are doing the right things to try to beat this team -- he's only 30 years old. His skating stride is still good.

They can't pretend they're going to go around this team. To me, the Flyers have to understand that they have to go through this team and do the right things to be able to do that.

They have enough talent to beat them

Flyers need to come out and play a strong first 10 mins and keep the building engaged. Can't let the Pens get an early one. For some reason I think this one goes to OT. Here's hoping we get a closer game than the past two.

I was perfectly fine with the disparity in score between the two teams in game 2. Why would we want that closer?

Somebody here said Simmonds was questioned and he insists that he's not hurt. If that is indeed the case it's time for him to go this summer.

And still recording shutouts and near-shutouts. One of the best AHL goalies in league history and was competent --- just not a long-term starter -- in the NHL. He is undecided about retirement after this season.

He would never ever admit it even if he was. Strictly against Flyers policy.

I thought Simmonds this last game looked the best he’s looked in weeks. I really had no issues with his game

Or he's just lying, but yeah, either way, it's time to move on at the draft.

Wonder who will dive head first into the boards and who will collide with gs butt eliciting complaints by Cindy and calls for a suspension.

I (frank)en hope he's not golfing today. Need that wrist to heal.

I have no stock in either team. I just don't think Phil is going to win today.
