Offense aside (you should win a game where you score 3 goals), defensive coverage (the lack of) is brutal.

I think 4 out of the Boston goals were by guys alone in front of the net with the goalie.

Also, 3-4 of those goals were because of defensemen throwing the puck at Boston players, when there was nobody even close to them in the zone (Hainsey) or the dman was doing cute moves at the blue line (Gardiner) while 3 Bruins were right on top of that area.

Leafs are playing Arizona Coyotes levels of hockey. I havent seen games this bad from them even in the regular season.

They literally give the entire game away in 5-6 minutes. Boston could have chihuahuas with taped hockey sticks to their bodies, and they'd still score 3-4 goals.

Defense is brutal, and its on the forwards as well.

When Hyman is your best player, a 3rd line 40 point guy in the regular season, that tells everything.

As for Nylander wanting Pastrnak money? Forget it. He's a level or two below that guy, even in the regular season. Pastrnak is not a comparable for him. Ditto for Matthews and McDavid, simply no.

Yeah Pleks hasn't shown what we paid 2 prospects and a 2nd round pick for. Could have traded another b or c prospect.

better yet keep the pick and assets for a different trade or for themselves.

They are playing scared. Panic and flail at every opportunity. It's poetry in motion.

It's fun watching the fanbase embracing the #MeToo movement.

matthews is as good as mcdavid.
he's just injured.
nylander is bad yes.
pastrnak isn't that good by the way, but nobody really defends him - let alone a nice hipcheck or elbow (like on marner twice already).

btw - as much as rancourt can't sing - he does get the crowd and team ready for the game.
leafs should have army guy for anthem tomorrow and not a 15y old 'look how i sing' girl

You guys are brutal. It's not the end of the world. It's not even the end of the playoffs.
Yeah they've sucked. They've dug a deep hole and they're going to have a (frank)aroo of a time getting out of it, but these kids are young and inexperienced. They will get there. We still finished 7th in the standings I think. Or was it 8th? That wasn't by accident.

I had no issue moving the prospects. I believe 2 went because Leafs have better prospects and too many contracts.

I don’t know what he expected by doing that.

One jab I can let go, but post after post? No way.

Big difference is Pasternak is insulated by two vets, their two best players, so yes he is doing great, he has lots of skill.

Problem is clear, Leafs are not making him pay the price, can’t do that with Gardiner and Zaitsev playing against him, they are not physical Dman, or have any toughness in them.

Yep, the next two games are huge. If the Leafs have fight they can win the next two games.

No matter what you thought of this series beforehand, you know the Leafs are better than this. Even Colorado is giving NSH problems.

They need to show up, simple. Especially Andersen and Matthews

They could turn it around. I'm not hopeful they will, but it's not impossible. Even if we lose in six and the next 4 games are good hockey, we can relax a bit and wait for next season. We will only get better. Getting sick of this BRING BACK ORR & MCLAREN horsepoop too. Get the (frank)ers to skate, make Andersen practice with a beachball to get some confidence and tighten up defensively. Breathe, you twats, and hope for the best.

Last change could be a big impact in getting Mathews and co. some favorable matchups.

You definitely need some sandpaper guys in that lineup. Matthews must be hurt, he was good last year with four goals in five games, wasn't he? I didn't watch, just looking at his numbers.

To me it's not a mystery why when Pastrnak came to the Bruins two years ago and was put on a line with Marchand, Marchand's numbers improved by about 20 points. I think you guys are underrating how good Pastrnak actually is.

The Leafs are giving him too much time and space with their poor defensive coverage but the kid is a very skilled player.

I didnt think Matthew's was playing? Seemed pretty invisible for a generational talent, I wonder how many games the brings would have won if you'd drafted McDavid instead of Matthew's? I wouldn't have, but what if?
