Well, positives-

-Leafs put 3 behind Rask, and figured out their power play.
-Leafs are headed home
-Kadri will be able to score the series winning goal on home ice, rather than in Boston.
-My baby watched her first of many Leafs games. And better yet, she won’t remember it.

- Feeling Glucky?

Her Very nice for you Glucky. Is that your first child? first daughter? Glad there is a bright spot the last few days for your family

Seriously, you know me well enough to know when I’m here to talk a bit about about Hockey and when I’m straight up trolling. A few jabs here and there is just how Men talk. I come in Peace and this guy wants to antagonize me? Is that any way to treat guests?

We have had multiple conversations about depth on both the front end and the back end before this series. I was here for that before the series and if the tables were turned would give you a realistic hockey analysis. Am I supposed to just leave this thread because we’re winning? I’m always here. I was actually asking for an honest opinion to see what you may think of the team if we were to go through to round 2. And I’m not even writing off this series yet and if we win I think we lose to Tampa. Just wanted to see what you thought about the team as I think you’d all do the same to me, which I wouldn’t take personally. I didn’t back in 2013 when it was taken to 7 games and it was thrown my way.

Bruins are deep. I don't think scoring depth is what makes them a tough matchup though. They can roll 3 scoring lines. They have a good D a really good tender and 1 of the best lines in hockey.

It's a really good team all around. I don't think firepower on all 4 lines is what makes them dangerous though.

Is this the part of the night where all the non-playoff teams' fans come in and tell us what's what?

Cool.

ON the Leafs thread? No thanks , there was only about 10 days of regular season that I didn’t spend on ban....I’m hopeful I can stick around until after the finals, draft and free agency, Jabroni.

It’s still weird being lumped in with non playoff teams’ fans.

I’ve been here all night, when the score was 0-0. I hope I don’t make you uncomfortable.

Sorry I'm a little flabbergasted that a Leafs 'fan' can go a decade without playoffs, then not even be bothered to watch the game.

Wow dude, that is a pretty harsh statement without knowing why I didn't watch.

I could have had to work. I could have had to go to a wedding, or maybe I was in a car accident.

The real answer is that I have been couchridden for the past 3 weeks and unable to do much with my 11 year old son who has no siblings. My wife is at a stag and doe so I was home with him. He is not a hockey fan. He wanted a movie night with Daddy and he wanted to watch the original Spiderman and Iron Man movies.

I was MORE than happy to give up one lousy hockey game for my only child who is, very shortly, going to hit an age where his desire to spend any time with his parents will be zero for about 10 years straight.

Some things are more important than hockey.

Grow up.

... and I forgot how great the original Iron Man was. I guarantee I enjoyed my choice more than just about every other Leafs fan.

Hainsey I will give you. This is year 2 of the full-fledged rebuild. Tough to find 4 more good D to round out a top 6. Hainsey is a placeholder.

When was the last time Martin played? Anyone remember?

Is Leivo still on the Leafs roster. I am not sure. If so when was the last time he played. I don't remember.

McDermott? It is Dermott. He IS young. So far, given his age and experience, he has looked good. Remember he is playing with another placeholder in Polak.

Andersen has been a disappointment so far but it is tough to say for sure when the whole team in front of him has played so small and the league decided that some play-acting means we should take our #2 center, 30+ goal guy, out of the lineup for a ridiculous (by historical standards) 3 games.

Play some of the younger players and get rid of those old place holders.

I get that now - it was the "Jabroni" in his last post that made me realize that... nothing like quoting the Rock from 10 years ago to put a man in his place!

I concede! What left is there to do?

No less weird than Leaf fans being lumped in with Playoff teams I’m sure.
