I’m being dead serious asking this. I know the top line has so many points, but have the other lines surprised you at all? I heard so much about the Bs being a one line team and despite the points they’ve put up they’re still playing very wel.
- RickJames77

WTF do you expect as an answer.

At the end of the day dude, we have been waxed by the Bruins and the Discipline office, without any indication that the team has the roster to compete, nevermind win a single game.

and you want praise for your depth guys?

so 2 playoff games where Boston can do whatever the want with impunity has equal weighting to 82 regular season games?

The Leafs deserve pretty every criticism you can throw their way, but that comparison isn't remotely accurate.

- Aetherial

Looking at your bottom 6. Does that compare to Boston's bottom 6? Kasperi Kapanen has less points then Goldobin. Goldy sucks. He's probably a year or 2 away from being regular season ready.

Hainsey isn't a first pairing D man.

Martin and Leivo aren't two players you are going to trust in the playoffs.

McDermott is good but he's young, inexperienced.

Anderson looks like a good regular season goalie but hasn't shown that he's going to win you a cup.

Good news, a lot of good pieces on the team. A lot of young pieces.

It was my first thought too unfortunately.

No, it equates to you guys getting Bruined the same way the Canucks did.

And that wont change in this series until the Leafs can prove it. Not saying they cant. But yeah. You're teams getting bytch slapped around.

Boom.

Science.

I think what happened with the Leafs was when the transitioned into a speedy skilled team they sorta overdid it. So Babs was like hey! We're a fast and skilled team! We'll beat them with our fastness and super skillz!! Until last years playoffs where they got out muscled by a heavier probably more skilled Caps squadron. So what did they do? They added "experience" (notice the quotations there)...

Imo the key to success is you need to have like half your roster who are like 27-32 and don't (frank) around. But that's just my two cents.

Bruins are a better team. They are not afraid to play physical and rough. No comments on leafs. Last two games comments enough.

thank god we didn’t trade jvr and his 30 goals for a real defenseman at the deadline

ooh then we wouldn’t get to see 4 humiliating playoff games

these cream puffs are soft as slime

i was there when we won game 2 at td 6 years ago

guess who was in the lineup: Fraser and Orr

Fraser scored and Orr laid chara out in the corner

0 sandpaper on this team=asswhooping

the only guy with any skill plus balls plus passion= suspended

our poor man’s marchand

what a (frank)ng joke

edit: nice alliteration

A lot of guys had some lofty expectations for them these playoffs. I had them out in the second round against Tampa, and they're disappointing even me. I can't imagine how the people in here who thought they'd make it to the Finals feel right now.

Hopeless romantics.

Every Fanbase has them

They'll never learn. You just have to turn your head and look away when the tears start rolling down.

Hainsey I will give you. This is year 2 of the full-fledged rebuild. Tough to find 4 more good D to round out a top 6. Hainsey is a placeholder.

When was the last time Martin played? Anyone remember?

Is Leivo still on the Leafs roster. I am not sure. If so when was the last time he played. I don't remember.

McDermott? It is Dermott. He IS young. So far, given his age and experience, he has looked good. Remember he is playing with another placeholder in Polak.

Andersen has been a disappointment so far but it is tough to say for sure when the whole team in front of him has played so small and the league decided that some play-acting means we should take our #2 center, 30+ goal guy, out of the lineup for a ridiculous (by historical standards) 3 games.

Well, positives-

-Leafs put 3 behind Rask, and figured out their power play.
-Leafs are headed home
-Kadri will be able to score the series winning goal on home ice, rather than in Boston.
-My baby watched her first of many Leafs games. And better yet, she won’t remember it.

We have had multiple conversations about depth on both the front end and the back end before this series. I was here for that before the series and if the tables were turned would give you a realistic hockey analysis. Am I supposed to just leave this thread because we’re winning? I’m always here. I was actually asking for an honest opinion to see what you may think of the team if we were to go through to round 2. And I’m not even writing off this series yet and if we win I think we lose to Tampa. Just wanted to see what you thought about the team as I think you’d all do the same to me, which I wouldn’t take personally. I didn’t back in 2013 when it was taken to 7 games and it was thrown my way.
