Any time Gardiner gets tougher competition, he crumbles. He's just not that good at actually defending. It's why everyone he's partnered with looks like crap.

Doubt it, and don't think he should be. I don't think he has what it takes to be NHL caliber. He had one good game and it was against Edmonton, no offense.

He's surprisingly strong on his skates. I don't want to jinx it until he follows up with a sophomore but a key D going forward.
