Such typical classless Flyer fans... showing up in swarms when you win, no where in sight when you lose.

Enjoy your beatdown Sunday, we won't see you around after that game as per your usual cowardice.

That’s not accurate. Fans of both teams have been on both boards throughout. And most don’t expect the flyers to win the series. Relax dude.

First, I didn't see any whining in the blog. Ryan did mention how Hornquist was out of control. No one said that the CG/Letang contact was dirty, just that Giroux threw himself a little harder into Letang....and, he did. No big deal...I don't think that the intent was to injure. Hurt? Yes. Injure? No.

I usually like Ryan's blog because he does a good job breaking down the games. I agree with his statistical analysis around the Penguins having the better of the play and definitely were more dangerous throughout the whole game; however, I don't think you can discount some real skill that was on display by other Flyers than Elliott. Couturier had one hell of a game after getting severely outplayed by the Pen's top line last game. Not only did he limit Crosby's line to a sparse amount of chances, he played well offensively. Ivan Provorov also turned in one hell of a performance and we saw a glimpse of what Travis Konecny can do when he gets going.

I think there was a bit of salt in the analysis and lack of credit to some of the key players on the Flyers. I'll be the first to admit the Penguins utterly torched those same players in game 1 with speed, skill, and a phenomenal ability to turn over pucks in keys areas of the ice ("hunting the puck"). There were definitely some adjustments made last night to counteract the game 1 turnovers. I saw more players chipping out pucks earlier instead of trying to make a tape to tape pass when they didn't have time. The Penguin's transition game is still what scares me the most and was on display again last night. If the Flyers continue to turnover pucks at the blue lines and in the neutral zone, the Penguins will run away with it.

Trust me. I will root for them regardless. I just think the penguins are the better team. If there’s a reason they lost last game, their power play was the main culprit.

A few more things.. I think despite out playing the Flyers, the Pens battle level did dip last night from the first game and the Flyers raised theirs. I think where they really raised theirs was away from the puck, the boards and on PK.

Also, after that Letang contact Giroux was sheepishly grinning to teammates. Saw with my own eyes in the Cbc broadcast ... Take it for what it's worth...

First 4 comments are flyers fans trolling. Must have been waiting for it all night refreshing the page

About the game: Yeah, we wont lose 3 more times playing like the first 2 games. Just gotta keep shooting. Flyers had like 15 shots when they scored their 4 goal in the third period.

bro why are you getting so riled up. there were plenty of us on the boards after we lost. yall got two cups and the series is tied. if you cant take a little bantering after a flyers win then you sure as hell shouldnt be doing any talking after a pens win

as for the blog, Ryan i think you were spot on. a win as nice but unlile most flyers fans i was concerned about the underlying numbers. should be interesting to see what happens in philly cause the pens are not a great team on the road but if the games keep going like this the pens should probably win. i guess thats how the caps felt last year after they outchanced yall in every game but got sunk by bad goaltending

also an interesting story line noone is mentioning is the pens pp not having their way. big x factor moving forward

I actually agree with the Flyers people that Giroux’s collision with Letang seemed accidental. Looked like Sid pushed him back into Letang.

He knew a collision was about to happen and braces himself. Not an ideal way to hit someone.

i watched the replay a few times and it didnt look like his hand went anywhere near a skate. really bizarre. it would havw to be something sharp to cut his hand even through a thicc glove. maybe a stick?

If Letang is hypothetically out, who replaces him in the lineup?

Oleksiak was a hell of a pick up.

Hunwick is our only option unfortunately. We have no organizational depth at defense since DP busted out.

I would assume that Maatta-Schultz takes on the role of top pairing.
