Lots of stuff to be offended by on this site tbh. Names. Stereortypes. There's plenty of it. I say take offense to all of it or simply let it go. This isn't a venue to chance people's minds on that type of stuff imo.

Kinda think you’re misunderstanding the meaning of free speech. It’s not really about being able to say whatever you want. It’s about being able to speak out about your government. I’m personslly not offended by the word, but rather than trying to convince the people who are offended. I would choose to try to understand their point of view and out of respect for them not use the word in this forum. Don’t feel like that really infringes on my right to free speech. I just feel like it’s being considerate of others. I certainly don’t want to stop you from being you...just how I’d choose to handle it.

Speaking of flat earth, one dude me and my buddies went to college with is actually a legit believer in that bullpoop along with a bunch of other crazy conspiracy theories. It's pretty funny and sad to see all at the same time. One of my friends tried talking to the guy to see if he was mentally alright and he just refused to listen and kept insisting we were all sheep being fed lies and how we were the idiots. The world is a crazy place man

this flyers team simply isnt that hateable as far as the guys on the ice are concerned. obviously the rivalry is still big and of course i want the flyers to get steamrolled, but its not like the roster is loaded with guys that i despise for who they are. hell i even found myself annoyed with hornqvist for (frank)ing with nolan patrick of all players.

thankfully all i have to do is engage in hockey discussion in any random bar in northeast philly and the hate flows again.

thats literally what ive been saying for two years. duh i hate the pens still but no cooke, kennedy, neal...its just not the same. the bylsma and johnston penguins. now those guys i could hate. but sullivan really seemed to crack down on the gooniness and focus on skill and its tougher to hate a team that plays that way. now do i still want the penguins franchise to burn in hell? sure. but maybe like the 3rd circle instead of the 7th circle you know

also nolan patrick is what would happen if you asked an american to create a canadian in a lab. hes a god damn national treasure

yeah i grew up in houston. not too many stars fans since most houstonians hate anything dallas related. the ones i did know were super passionate. dallas seems like a good hockey town but honstly i dont think houston could ever have a team. football down there comes first, second and third. houston residents i would say also probably care about their college teams more than pro teams while in dallas its the other way around.
