I feel good about my bracket so far. All of my teams won game 1. I've got the Pens over the Preds in 6 games (finally winning on home ice). It's going to be so wide open after this round. This could be the best playoffs I'll ever see

I entirely agree with you on the Marchand thing...how his has complete inpunity to do things like that?! Yet if there is any retaliation, only the retaliation is penalized, which is an absolute farce! He deserved to have gotten completely rag-dolled after that crap!

For an encore, in Game 2, Marchand is going to straight up anal rape Mitch Marner on the ice. Apparently, the league is cool with stuff like that/

Both Marchand and Kormorov's response in the post game was honestly hilarious though. Glad it happened.

Do you happen to have a link? I didn’t see it
Edit: I found Marchand’s response. I can’t find Leos

The most egregious thing RE: Tom Wilson was Barry Trotz yesterday saying Wilson has "Jordan Staal like qualities"

Other than being a great leader, character player and good at hockey I can totally see the resemblance.

I just remembered for the first time in like over a year that the Mike Johnston Era was a thing and spit out my beer laughing. Man its so easy to forget that we were on our way to irrelevance before Sully showed up.

What amazed me about that whole era was that nobody wanted the job. Didn't Peters and Desjardins pass on the job? Think about that.... Passing on a job where you start with 2 generational centers in their prime. Not to mention, ownership was incredibly patient with Bylsma. More patient than they should have been.

Granted, they kind of butchered the firings of Shero and Bylsma.

Yeah Peters passed on it. Now he's probably going to be fired.

Well, the way they handled the Bylsma/Shero firings was not great and they received a lot of blowback/negative press.

I don’t think he’s a very good coach anyway. CAR has a solid roster and I think is a playoff team with the right coach
