I feel for the guy but I've said this time and time again. These injuries do not excuse the boneheaded plays with the puck we've seen from him just about all season.
If he can't focus on his game because of these injuries then we have a problem. Guy should not be playing right now if that's the case. - hereticpride
Who would you replace him with?? |

Message to Dave Hakstol. You're facing the Pens in the first round, how about trying to have someone HIT SOMEONE in this series ! You played candy a** hockey all year against them, and gave up 5 goals a game. WAKE UP - twpguy
Yep! Standing around and WATCHING the faster pens skate by you isn’t a recipe for success. Make em look over their shoulder and slow them down a bit. Just don’t be stupid. |

Wouldn’t it be great if simmonds can follow g’s footsteps and have a monster comeback season next year? - funmaster18
I'm betting on it. Plus it's his contract year. |

What a day for Giroux. Very happy for him. No one deserved that ending to a season more than him. |

At this stage it's a moot point. You can't bring a kid up for the start of the playoffs. I would've taken him out a while ago if injuries have been the cause of all this poor play and seen what someone from Lehigh would've been able to bring. And more importantly, have a rested Simmonds to come back for the playoffs.
They basically have to play him now. But hell, after seeing some of these Simmonds gaffs I'm not sure I wouldn't have thrown Weise out there for a couple games this past month. |

My top 3 for the Hart:
1. Taylor Hall - I'd love to say Claude should be 1st, but I can't let my own hometown bias get in the way. Hall was incredible this year.
2. Claude Giroux
3. Nathan MacKinnon - his late season goal drought hurt. |

Hammer: i have one day/night realistically to enjoy some free time in Phoenix. What do I do, where do I go, who do I see?? - funmaster18
well you can see me, but i don't know this would equate to enjoying your free time.
there's a million things to do here...don't forget scottsdale (which is really where i live) and tempe. what are you interested in doing? |

Giroux is an all situation player, who is third in the league in face off percentage if I'm not mistaken. His involved in higher than 50% of the team's goals. The Flyers don't make the playoffs without him. Second in points in the league. The last game of the season when he was needed most scores at hat trick, while Taylor Hall didn't even play. It has to be Giroux. - SuperSchennBros
the devils sat hall? jfc. didn't realize that. fuuuuuuuuck them. even he did play, it's still giroux. there's really no debate here, and i don't say that because he's a flyer. i generally couldn't give a rats ass about these awards. but he deserves this.

Me either, not sure Hextall won't though.
It would have to be better than the Schenn deal. It has to include a high end prospect that could step right into the lineup as well as a first round pick. |

I think this is how it should play out. Although, I think G is just as deserving, G has better offensive players around him than Hall has. |
