Flyers - penguins might be fun. I know they haven’t played their best against them of late but I think the Flyers could surprise them for sure. |

The Flyers would be the under dogs for sure. But there isnt a team out there whose defeat at the hands of the Flyers would make me happier. |

Clb has no balls. They want no piece of Pitt. Only solidifies that BOB is a mental midget come playoff time and the Pens own him

It's the playoffs and the Flyers are going to be a lower seed. I want them going in loose and unafraid. (frank) it, no one thinks they are getting out of the first round anyway. Lay it all out on the table. |

Same attitude I had about the Eagles.
(frank) it, you're still in the playoffs without Carson Wentz. Might as well just win the whole (frank)ing thing. |

I don't know how the Kapler thing is gonna work out, but I do want to see him get a larger sample size of games before I'm ready to string him up.
I mean, I know those early losses were ugly and had some bad optics, but I do admire that he had a plan, based on data. It just didn't work out. I realize this puts me in the minority, but I need to see his managerial style play out before declaring failure. |

That’s why you play the games. Like the Flyers the Eagles had some flaws...but it’s not like the other teams in the playoffs dont have flaws and question marks...(frank)...why not.? |

No one talks about him putting in Morgan after 5.2 innings and him getting 4 straight outs, 3 ks. Then it gets you to the 7th and you put your back end guys in. Imagine that. |

That whole "pull the starter early" philosophy is something that I believe both Kapler and Klentak are wedded to. The idea being that you go with a small rotation of guys you believe in (preferably a 4 man rotation), they give you five or six innnings and then you turn it over to your massive 8 or 9 person bullpen which you then use to shuffle guys in and out to continually get match ups favorable to you.
I'm congenitally predisposed to hate that sort of thing.. it runs counter to how I was raised to believe a team should be run. This is going to require some patience on my part, not the least of which is because clearly they don't have all the pieces that they'd like to have yet. |

The bullpen is also the strength of this team. The starting pitching is not. Wouldn't it make sense to use the bullpen more?
Of course, now that both Neshek and Hunter are out, is the bullpen the strength of the pitching staff? |

I'm an old and agree. When he took Nola out on opening day, I died a little inside.
I just like to see people think outside the box sometimes. I don't know if it's gonna work, but I wanna see it, you know? |
