Wtf, the Flyers just had an amazing game, clinching the playoffs. Now playing the Pens in 1st round and the 1st few pages of these comments are talking about the Sixers, Phillies and Eagles. You gotta be kidding me, this is turning into WIP. The end is near. Btw best players in this city are:
G
Couts
Voracek
Provarov
Ghost
Not some NBA player who teams look to put to the Free Throw line on purpose.
Please don't respond I'm tuning into WIP to see if I can hear some talk about Giroux's game yesterday. - hockeyphan25
We were talking about how every team in the city is on the upswing, jump started by the flyers and a few of their players blowing away expectations?
You also spelled Provorov wrong so there's that gem too

After the last two games I think Hak will stick with that set up...Raffl produced and Konecny still looked dangerous.....if it starts to faulter he can always go back to the TK-Giroux-coots line. - landros 2

I am hoping the TK on the third line with Flip and Simmonds ends immediately. TK is making plays but those other two can't keep up and don't have the skill level to make plays in tight quarters.
I'd rather see Laughton on third line wing at that point. I understand the reasoning of the decision to try and spread out scoring but it isn't really working. - bird_dog_pa
Someone mentioned before and I like the idea of switching tk and Jake. Jake is more of a rover anyway and he’ll hold the puck. He just needs Simmonds on the doorstep and flip for defense and that line should work. Then you have an all kids line that will complement each other |

TK is still doing the TK thing but it's the other two who need to adjust to TK. There was a point in yesterday's game where TK was skating around the zone with the puck and flip and Simonds couldn't get open. I think he passed to Simmonds who would have had to make a nice play but couldn't keep the puck and lost it to a ranger. That was my point gift wrapped.
I agree I doubt Hak will change lines up. |

Ding, ding, ding!
I commented during the first that Sanheim made a great stretch pass to Jake but just needed to bear down a little harder and be stronger on the puck in the D zone. He did exactly that for the rest of the game and played well. There is no way that he should come out of the lineup. - BiggE
And the pass to G :D. He is so good at those |

Lundqvist was anticipating a tip by Patrick and was trying to extend his stick to prevent it. Opened himself up and Giroux's saucer pass eluded everything but the net. - bmeltzer
live it looked like patrick did tip it..even the replay was difficult to tell from only that angle. i don't know why he didn't just stay tight. patrick had no room to tip that by him. he tried to do too much there. it turned the game. |

Maybe he is trying to see if he can jumpstart Simmonds? I too prefer TK with Giroux, but for now they probably won’t switch it back...we’ll see.

With the team they've been icing in front of him I'd be trying to do too much too.
The Rangers look like they're going to be bad for a while. |

I thought the kids played some real solid games since his return. I watch him and his decision making and think to myself....’this kid is starting to get it ‘ ...he’s starting to make those high percentage defensive plays with regularity that he some times got a way from early on....this playoff experience is only going to help.
 - landros 2
he's been very solid, imo. early on he often seemed to be on the wrong side of the puck down low and would turn the puck over more...just a bit hesitant. that generally is not happening now and he looks much more comfortable with amac, who has also been pretty solid.
look at patrick...he was taking a lot of bad stick penalties in the early going, not to mention his skating was off....
it just takes time. |

Like the idea of 54-19-11. Dislike the idea of Jake on his off wing |

I watched that condensed game and just want to share that with 5ish minutes left in the first Elliot made a fantastic pad save to his right on a puck that bounced to an unmarked ranger in his first NHL game and Regis told us all how he missed the wide open net and it was "unbelievable". Not that Elliot made a great save.
I. Hate. Him. I hate him so much.

Sanheim had one bad turnover -- and later made a good defensove play on the same shift -- in 20 mins of ice time. He was strong overall. Therein lies an issue with how many D-men end up becoming fan whipping boys. Some folks hyper-focus on one or two bad plays or a rough shift or two rather than the overall body of work across all of their shifts. - bmeltzer

Where the (frank) is my Snoop Dogg video, NHL - Giroux_Is_God
i told you already.
seriously though, i wouldn't be surprised if they made it already along with the others in anticipation/expectation.
"yes, mr. dogg, we need you again, are you available tomorrow?" he's a busy guy. the nhl does a lot of things wrong, imho, but they probably figured this one out. kinda' like all those SB losing team hats...they still gotta' get made. |

csp is a veteran and knows how to read a play. but he was to that point the only guy keeping them in it, so yeah, i can see how he'd reach there, now that you bring that up. not that i mind it was a trash goal. believe me, i don't. |
