I don't really care what the board is made for. The overall tone of this board has been tilted way towards the negative side. That's just a fact. It's a shame because it was badly misguided. All season long.

If you are on this board and you called for the coach to be fired, hexy to be fired, opinioned the youth and farm system sucked and acted like only the Flyers he have issues, yeah, you way missed the big picture and honestly are probably just negative by nature

How about if you believe the Flyers made the playoffs in spite of Hakstol?

I would say yes you are negative, but you know that, we have exchanged on Hak. I don’t agree on all he does but he had done a me a good job with the roster he has.

Yes Hagg should play but is he a huge upgrade? No he is not. Should flip get less time, yes but he his body of work for the year and today by the way has been solid on the D side All things we discuss are usually connected to limited roster options. Easier to sit on the couch and make the call

This team made the playoffs IN SPITE of Hakstol

Come on, man -- I agree with you on some big picture stuff, but come on, now.

I remember at the very beginning of the year, when Giroux was moved to the wing, some folks were about ready to lose their minds. They were ANGRY.

Not because Couturier was playing center on the top line, but because Giroux wasn't playing center at all.

That decision, just me eye-balling it, might have added another season of elite production to Giroux's career IN ADDITION to this one.

That decision alone, plus putting Provorov and Ghost together...man.

Coaches get too much credit and too much blame. But there are talented teams out there -- Calgary being one, Dallas being another, Carolina being another -- that aren't going to the playoffs.

98 points in a season where your No. 1 goalie misses 5 weeks...come on, man

I watched the Flyers postgame on Thursday, and both Bill Clement AND Chris Therien said they didn't think Provorov-Ghost would work

How does anyone not give the coach credit for doing that when two guys who are around the team every day, who played the sport for money and talk about it for money, both said on air that they wouldn't have done it?

The dude isn't perfect, but damn, people

It's easy to defend Hak tonight because the Flyers snuck into the playoffs. Had they lost one more game this year, they likely miss the playoffs and suddenly the criticism isn't as outlandish.

Hak got career seasons from the team's 5 best players. The Flyers should have been a lot better than a fringe playoff team. They have the talent on their team and in their organization to be as good as any team in the Metro. It's almost like this organization has dooped people into thinking being the 15th best team every year is a success.

That's ridiculous, they didn't sneak into the playoffs, they earned their way in. It didn't just happen tonight, it happened over an 82 game season. This just further highlights the bias you show and how you want to minimize the accomplishment because it doesn't fit your narrative that they're an incompetent organization with an incompetent coach..

That is also ridiculous. You don't have any basis whatsoever for stating that. Are you really going to state that the Flyers purposely kept players out of the NHL because they want to be a middle of the pack team? These comments further degrade your credibility in looking at this team. Yes, the coach deserves credit for how his players performed. After all , he is the only coach who is sucessful because his players played welll. Other coaches of top teams are doing it without their top players playing well.
