Need 1 more point tomorrow to clinche home ice. Last WC no longer possible, Philly can't pass us. Can still play any of CBJ, NJ, Philly, or Washington. |

I wonder if Tortorella would still take Kyle Palmieri over Phil Kessel for the US World Cup team . |

What a hockey night. Pens win a close one and ND is going to the Frozen Four championship. What a (frank)ing year in sports. |

That was basically a playoff game for the Jackets last night. A win would of clinched them a spot.
Pen rose to the occasion. Now in saying that, I missed the whole first two periods, but from some of your comments it seemed like they played a pretty even game. Some of you thought they might of been a bit better than the Jackets in those periods. So that's all encouraging to me.
EDIT: I thought they had to get 2 points to clinch haha just needed 1. They almost didnt get it. |

Preds clinched the Presidents last night...since its been awarded 26% of the teams that have won it went on to win the cup. They are very strong looking but its a long road yet, as we all know...

I mean considering the amount of teams that are in the playoffs. 26% is pretty good for a single team. |

No doubt. They account for 7% of the teams in the playoffs so 26% chance is pretty high. |

4 in the last 18 years is more important in that stat. Or 2 in last 10, 2 in last 14. It's not a common phenomena in the era we are in now. I'm not thinking it's going to change this season. |

They are stocked top to bottom...but so were the Caps last year. As we all know, or should know anyway, its not just the roster that wins the cup. Bounces, calls, injuries or even just a goalie playing out of his mind can sometimes shift a series.
Think they will dress everyone tonight? I think they should and really try and secure home ice. Besides, there will be a nice break after tonight until playoffs start. |

I think they dress who they can to win & depending on How the game goes manage the ice time of certain players. We don't know who is carrying injuries but those guys should see less time if possible, I think Sid will want to play & finish the game well.
Edit: Rinne is probably the big question mark for the Preds. |
