Sadly, that's all I've got.

Also, it's kinda creepy how much you and I see eye to eye. Are you sure we're not alts?

I’ve wondered the same. We very well could be.

Talking about uninspired hockey from last blog. Someone wake the F up the following players:

Dumoulin
Schultz
Letang

I don't care just about numbers I wanna see some fire in their belly.

Well the protection limits were far more restricting than in years past.

In prior years teams protected up to 15 players (nine forwards, five defensemen, one goalie), teams were only eligible to protect up to 11 players from Vegas (seven forwards, three defensemen, one goalie).

Absolutely. Huge advantage for LV.

So the Flyers have the Islanders, Canes & the Rags to finish with. There's a possible 6 points right there or even as much chance as 0 points.

Blowjobs have the Red Wings, Pens & Preds which is a possible 6 more like probable 4 or even 2.

We have the better ROW than both teams but I think it's going to come down to whether or not the Flyers can win 3 in a row which is doubtful in my mind.

I'm predicting a point from our game against the Blowjobs, then a win V Sens which should give us enough to get at least 3rd in the division.

Way too early expansion thought.

Pens have a couple of RFAs I think most of us would like to see kept around for a while in Sheahan and Oleksiak. Would you offer them only 2 year deals so they would be UFAs during expansion?

You could potentially work out deals with them but not ink them until after the expansion draft to get around the protection rules, but you'd risk them walking sooner.

Even bigger, do you risk letting Schultz get to UFA?

This is the issue with the Flyers. They're too inconsistent from game to game...really from shift to shift.

I’m expecting two year deals for both. We’re not in a cap situation where we can offer them long term deals that they’d expect, so I think two year deals with low-Ish cap hits is gonna be what the players and team come to.

We have Schultz for his prime. I’m not sure we’ll want to resign him when he’s up.

In 2 years, then Pens defense will look very different. Too early to tell.

Yes that old chestnut 'consistency'. At 1 stage this season I would say without a doubt in my mind that the Flyers would win those 3 games. Now, roll the dice. It will be hard for them to do it, as it will be hard for the Jackets to win their 3. I think they will beat the Pens though.

No fool here, mate. You're the individual throwing out ridiculous comments.

Also, appears Gunner thinks the Pens were dominated 5v5. I said outplayed, but dominated pretty much is saying the same thing.

So the comment I made about the Caps PK not being very good last night despite the Pens not scoring was ridiculous when the stats clearly show that the only reason they didn’t score was because of Grubauer?

Hmmm... ok

Not likely barring a big trade. They don't have the cap room for a big addition Letang, Maatta, and Dumoulin are signed and would likely all be protected unless one has a huge fall and that's your first 3. Schultz is an UFA that year. Oleksiak is the only guy they could still control that likely has any value. (We have no prospects who look any good on defense).

Just realized even though it's 2 years out it's going to start effecting some decisions this summer. I had Wanted to lock in Oleksiak and Sheahan for 3 years each, but now I'm not sure that's the best route.
