No one is saying that you have to love them. Ok, no one except Jim and I are saying that you have to love them! Just looking for an acknowledgement of their influence on just about every one who came after them. And in that regard, their importance.
Personally, I like great song-writing, inventive fills, and wonderful harmonies, so I am a fan.

The closest thing I have is I hated the "English Patient" when everyone told me I had to love that movie. And then Seinfeld did an episode on the very same thing, which made me feel better about things.

It's not a banner year for depth. Some nice high-end talent at the top, but it drops off pretty quickly.
