Unless you can verify what you are saying is true don't go on a large platform and spread defamatory rumors of a serious/personal nature. It's the way things progressed... It used to be that reporters/journalists could get their facts straight and they'd all report it during the evening news hour... Now "news" organizations care more about being first than being right. Whoever gets the story up first gets the most clicks, ad revenue, etc.
