I agree with your point. I just see next year as a transition year, allowing them to get away from Pommer, Girgs, Johan, while letting Asplund, Pu, etc. develop in Rochester. There's just too much to overhaul in one summer. They won't go with 6/7 forwards with minimal or no NHL experience.

Assuming you can't trade Okposo. You have to consider dealing Sam or RoR.

JBotts lands two young players, bringing them into the fold.
Mittelstadt deal is good for both parties, looking very much forwRd to watching him wearing blue and gold,
Borgen going to AHL is a terrific deal, helps him and the Amerks, nice play.

Sabres beat the Laughs, just terrific..I’m all in for tanking, but them winning against the Laughs is all good...I’m thinking they got this last place finish all wrapped up.

Jack looked GREAT, awesome 2 was play..wish he could have beat Gardner for his hatty at the end...but 2 to lead the way is fabulous.

Looking forward to watching JBotts overhaul this roster during the off-season and through the transition year next season.

Plus Kopitar was pretty bad last year and there was talk of massive buyer's remorse being in year one of said $80M deal, hey maybe he was resting up.
