The scouting staff's ability in doubt after this game. Matt Brassard is terrible defensively. Even worse the next player taken in the draft behind him Ben Jones.

I would like them to at least make an attempt. Brassard's defensive play makes Liljegren look like a 1OA. Time to stop looking for a RHD QB PP guy. Wasting picks on it.

Ben Jones was one of the 3 players I wanted Van to draft in the 7th round. 17th in OHL scoring this season.

It’s a close race. I love Svechnikovs skating but....he is Russian. I’d probably still give the edge to Zadina but a team has to be confident they can improve his skating

Carlo had some love last season. This season he took a real step back. I saw a report saying that most GM's are saying he's only a #5 defender. Better then getting a #5 defender from the 3OA though.

Been so busy I didn’t realize the Canucks just played two games, but I really didn’t care either. So I just went through the schedule and I’m going to predict that both Buffalo and Vancouver end their seasons in the same positions they are in now, and probably with the same points totals they have now.

Is it bad because he fell down?
The kid has been on the plus side the past 2 seasons.
Rather they take a defenseman with some late picks over forwards, as our defense depth is the pits.
Also, defense positioning is a lot easier to teach than offense.

But good to see. Despite some empty seats in the lower bowl and whatnot we still average over 18,000 per game which is just fine right around the middle of the NHL in attendance figures. We certainly aren't Carolina, Florida, Arizona, NYI or NJ where they can barely put 5000 asses in the seats on any given night.
