I thought Lehtera had some decent games but struggled in his last few...as long as it’s not Weise. - landros 2
I’d rather bring someone up from the ECHL than see Weise’s useless ass in the ice. He shouldn’t even be allowed to dress for practice unless the drill is how to crosscheck someone in the face. |

Exactly. For (frank)s sake how did it take them that long. |

If Gudas wasn't RH, I think there would be a better chance he would be the one to sit over Manning. That pinch on the Caps 2nd goal was brutal. He 'll stay in the line up , just more long term I see A Mac lasting the longest from the current group of vet dmen as more of the kids graduate to the NHL. |

They need to figure something out with Weise and Lehtera this offseason. You can't have them both back.
Lehtera looks like he's trying.
Weise looks indifferent to me when he's out there.
I don't know what's going to happen but they need to be gone somehow. Either bought out or in Lehigh Valley. |

The entire tournament has been awesome! So much chaos....So happy for UMBC! - johndewar
I was out when Zona lost, then I was back in after UVA lost, then I was out again after Mich St lost, then I was back in when UNC lost, now Cincy loses. Had them losing in the elite 8 but at this point the South region of my bracket is dead. After the 2nd round.
I picked both Loyola games though. That sweet, sweet defense they play in the paint was too good to pass up |

Lehterä can be a spare forward, at least he tries and he can play multiple positions. Weise can go ride the buses in the AHL for the next 2 years. He’s gonna get waived. |

Yep
And Hextall shouldn't feel any remorse, because Hakstol tried to play him

I think, in this era of MCBB, it's very difficult to repeat.
Villanova may just repeat by default. |

Oh, I don't think Hextall can female dog about Hakstol not giving these guys a chance at all.
Hakstol has tried to find the positive in these guys. It's over. Hextall has to figure out a way to bury them or buy them out. |

He'll probably just waive both. Not a chance in hell anyone claims either. |

Can't complain with the Hawks winning 3 cups, but it is going to be tough competitive for a long time with those contracts |

Read is a shadow of the player he was, but the people killing Hakstol should give him credit for recognizing PDQ that he needed to put him in the lineup and just move on from Weise and now maybe Lehtera
Not saying that those guys will never play again. But Hakstol gets too much blame when they lose and not enough for making adjustments to help them win - AllInForFlyers
I think what's frustrating for a lot of fans is the amount of time it takes Hak to adjust. The numbers and results are sitting right there in front of him, often time he refuses to acknowledge them based on the personnel he is icing. It's this seemingly veteran favoritism that yields to icing less talented players in my opinion. Finally, it seems, they might be moving away from that mentality towards icing the most talented players and not the safest players. Hopefully they don't make a knee-jerk move if Sanheim happens to have 1 bad game and I'm sure he will down the stretch. |

That was a fun game.
TK is our new little ball of hate. That kid is going to be a pain in other teams asses for a long time. Love it.
Glad for Simmer and Oskar. They both needed that kind of game. |

That's mostly due to a lot of fans who are frustrated just plain don't know what they're talking about. The fact that you use the term veteran favoritism is proof of that. Hakstol has done a strong job developing players under his watch. The proof of that is how they young players are flourishing. Sanheim will also. Sanheim already had a sub par game against Carolina yet he remained in the lineup. The Flyers are not going to expose a young player to anything before they feel he is ready for it. It is a formula and philosophy that is clearly working. The numbers you rely on are not a sound basis for decision making.

Problem I see with the changes is he takes to long to make them. He deserves credit for sure, but at times he sticks with these guys who don’t produce to long before shaking things up. |
