I love that he's super confident. He's got every skill in the book, but a game like today makes you a legend. Dude totally sold out. - johndewar
damn right he did |

Read is a shadow of the player he was, but the people killing Hakstol should give him credit for recognizing PDQ that he needed to put him in the lineup and just move on from Weise and now maybe Lehtera
Not saying that those guys will never play again. But Hakstol gets too much blame when they lose and not enough for making adjustments to help them win |

Defence was solid tonight was surprised at the ice time, Amac 24:45,Provy20:10,Sanheim 20:02, and Ghost only 16:39, not complaining as it worked ,believe biggest thing was got solid goaltending, he didn’t steal the game but gave us a chance to win. We have enough talent to win when we get solid goaltending. |

Great win!
I think we should all worry about possibly losing that third liner Wayne Simmonds. |

He does deserve credit for that move....Read doesn’t make stupid decisions like some of the other 4th line guys. He’s lost a step for sure, but in a limited role he’s been more solid then the guys now sitting in the press box.

Yes he seems to have found his confidence....every game he’s getting more and more comfortable... - landros 2
His positioning in the defensive zone plus he is using his length with the poke check. He is deserving of his playing time, |

Read has been decent on the PK at least, I think. I've noticed a few solid clears by him recently. Today he made a nice calm spin play to give himself time and space and a better clearing angle |

Exactly -- they just need the Bottom 6 to not do stupid stuff |

Not me. Has some uses but too soft for me. Not surprised he has been in the press box since the CBJ game -- that turnover was an absolute killer and just what you can't have from a player in that role |

It's all about confidence with this team. You could see a completely different tone in their play. Up on their skates, winning battles, no hesitation. When they aren't confident, it's the opposite. They have plenty of veterans on this team so I don't know why that is but when they play as they are capable, they are a solid team and can play competitively with anyone. |

Having Matt Read back around is nice.
People forget that he was one of those college free agent signings that Homer made back when their organizational pipeline via the draft was straight trash.
He's not what he was, but I don't feel like he's going to hurt them in a 4th line/PK role. |

And even having lost a step, Read is still faster than the Finnish snail. |

I thought Lehtera had some decent games but struggled in his last few...as long as it’s not Weise.
