The problem is there are 3 top 6 players and 3 bottom six players, and 6 marginal NHLers
- jcragcrumple

Agreed, but i wonder which hurts the team more. having below average 13 min a night players or below average(relative to that role) 20-25 min a night players

We have ignored the QB position for how long?

Rinse and repeat

based on today, I stand pat

maybe draft mayfield or ruldolph and take a flier on another qb in the 6th rd

- homiedclown

I think that guy is still Petersen for us
Maybe we get lucky & Mayfield drops?
Miami might scoop him up at 11 though

Paying 20 mil for Bogo, Pominville, Gorges and Moulson hurts most

Nothing we can go about it. Need a top 3 pick for those good guys. Those teams all won 3 or less games. We were a playoff team.
- Fattony1187

I just can't believe the jets (frank)ed us ..

I was thinking theres no way the bills can (frank) this pick
up you have Mayfield ,Sam, Rosen win-win situation

Ugh

yeah fair enough. you've got 2 guys getting top 4-ish money who are AHL d-men. But thats part of the assembled core problem.

Situationally. They. Can. Matter.

For the 10th time

Over. A. Large. Sample. They. Are. Meaningless.

Hockey is all about how situations add up though

Why would u wanna win a faceoff with 10seconds left,
but not 10min left?
It’s the same thing

Will it turn into a scoring chance?
Sometimes
Most times it won’t, i get that
Blocked/deflected shots are crazy prevalent

I’d still rather have the puck than be chasing it though
Idk how u don’t get that?

Impact on shots
But that’s bc of all the blocked/deflected shots
And of course, turnovers happen

Still better to win the draw & have the puck than it is to be chasing it

- jdfitz77

Right. No impact then. You're agreeing with me and are failing to recognize it. Possession is measured by SAT. Not SOG.

no, i just think you chose to ignore everything i wrote after i said "yes"

I think faceoffs importance is overvalued, not that there isnt any. And i bring it up in terms of RORs value because if thats your thing when raking in 7.5 mil, that's a problem

- Sabresfan-365

Everything u brought up after had nothing to do with my question

Balance helps
When u have good guys who can play more than 13min...
then ROR and others don’t need to be overplayed

Look at Vegas (specifically their defense)

Good centers don't make your supporting players not sh!tty.

They can help them to appear less sh!tty, however.

How's McDavid and Draisaitl doing?

To me it seems like Cleveland and giants are taking QBs at 1-2. Jets had to make the move to 3 to get one of top 3. Prob offered a pick to giants and they said no because Giants are dumb to pass this pick up to draft the QB of their future.

Win every battle you can, sure.

That doesn’t mean it has ANY effect on us winning games over the course of the season.
