Always liked him but the knock on him was yeah he lead the team in tackles but they were always 5-8 yards past the line of scrimmage
- Stripes77

Just like Preston brown leading the NFL in tackles for the same reason.

Preston Brown will be a perfect replacement as he is equally adept at tackling running backs after 8 yard gains.

Not to mention Ullmark has been brought up so the Sabres are clearly in the"win now" mode.

Here we go again ..........

They just want to see what they have in him. All of these guys will be in Roch for the playoffs.

Sign Nigel Bradham, draft Baker Mayfield and then bring in Donte Whitner for a tryout before cutting him 30 seconds in and I'll guarantee a Bills Super Bowl win.

I just like the Whitner part a lot

Our goalies can’t stop a puck. That constitutes as an emergency

Meh, there's something to be said for God in the locker room. A LOT of these guys are religious. If he's just "not religious" I think that's OK, but if your QB is a practicing atheist, who lambastes and browbeats those with higher convictions, you WILL have problems in the locker room.
- Khmylev

Even if he is a so-called "militant atheist," it falls on him and the rest of the locker room to be respectful of each other's views. Being a fundamentalist Christian is equally annoying to an agnostic/atheist/Muslim/mainline Christian. If you're not picking a guy because of his religious orientation, you're making a huge mistake

That and as of right now we could be looking at two guys who can play hockey (reinhart's looked pretty good) instead of the usually 1.

If you think he'll be a problem in the room (read that as him starting poop) then you're avoiding him not because of his beliefs, but because you think he'll be a d!ck.

I disagree. Pick the best QB and deal with it. It's easier to get him a therapist/sports psychologist than to fix a lesser QB's accuracy.

Well said. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to be referred to as a militant atheist just because I am willing to tell you the truth if you ask me how I feel about all of that. I can't believe this guy is being criticized for having opinions.

Therapy can help underlying issues, but if you're a Richard, you're a Richard. there's no changing that.

And I have to imagine part of being a good QB is being a good leader. If there's no shot anyone will respect you in that room, your odds aren't good.

And that has nothing to do with his beliefs. He can be an atheist and still be respectful. If you don't think he's capable of that, it's a major character flaw.

I don't even know if he is a Richard at all. But plenty of QB's are raging bumholes. I'll take the best QB if he's a Richard, than the nicest guy if he's not as good. Fitz is a really nice guy, but not good. Payton Manning was a raging Richard
