I'm going to be 53 years old this year, and I still LOVE the 80's, and I have a confession : I have NEVER seen Top Gun - nor have any desire to watch it (or it's upcoming sequel). There, I said it.

Oh and another thing : I finally watched the Big Lebowski last year. Meh. Not that good. Was just "OK" and I don't understand the hype around it.

Carry on.

Why don't you allow for that explanation for Timmy C or Tyler Ennis then?

Where are they going to put the statue of Timmy?

I was thinking on the second level on the right, in front of the harbor center entrance.

Like 8ft in diameter, 14ft high.

Does any of that mean Sam won't be crashing the net or passing like a master jedi from below the dots ? Because if it does ............. f**k any of that.
- fastek

Sam's been bad at center every time he's been given a chance. Just put him where he's good. Sticking him at center destroyed his confidence and gave us an entire year and counting of gerbe complaining about him. Keep him at wing.

Those are good seasons? So we tanked for a player that gets around 40 points and that's good to some of you ?

You got Draisaitl getting 70pts most likely 80 this year

Nylander getting about 60 most likely going to hit 75 this year so

Pastrnak most likely going to get 80 points this year

Point most likely around 70 points

But hey let's give Sam a pat on the back for a solid 40 Point Season (50 pts)

You all have just accepted loser players and you don't care anymore

- gerbe75pts

He has 14 goals and 50 points.

I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend

I originally thought he would be an ideal 2nd or 3rd line center, cut from the same mold as ROR...defensively responsible, great set-up guy...solid all around.
However, I see now that he can’t carry the puck through the neutral zone into the O-zone...which is generally a key attribute for a center.

However, his wing play is very, very solid...and he plays the absolute best with ROR...those two are made for each other. Just find a solid LW for that line it will be a terrific 2nd line...can Baptiste or Bailey become that?...maybe O’Regan can?

His play the 2nd half of this year tells me we need to find out who he really is?
Perfect Bridge Deal candidate.

I was all for trading his ass out of here...now I want to see who he really is.

I think you may not understand what I was trying to say, I was responding to someone who already brought up Timmy C and Ennis as players that played well in contract years, got their contracts and then stunk.

People were saying Ekblad hasn't lived up to draft hype and the same person said it was because of concussions.

I wanted that person to explain the difference where Ekblad is excused because of concussions but neither Ennis or Timmy C were.

I'm not lauding Timmy C for how great he was.

P.S. Although I'm going to the kidney transplant center that's in his name in Syracuse, so that's slightly ironic.

I understood what you were doing, I just saw an opportunity to remind everyone how lucky we all were to be blessed with his talent in a Sabres uniform.

He doesn’t answer when proven incorrect or illogical.
He still think 12 secondary assist in the A is terrific output from a sniper, lol.

If Tim c never got killed in the playoffs he would of been a top 5 center

But those two were never labeled a generation Talent like Aaron ekblad was

False.

he was an 'exceptional player' in juniors. Generational NHL talent? Hardly. Elite? Perhaps someday. Generational is McDavid.

So basically what you're doing is complaining that, in hindsight, Murray drafted the wrong guy. OK. Hindsight suggests you're right so far. But whining about it gets no one anywhere.

We deal with what we have and we want our players to be successful. Reinhart is having a successful 2018. So (frank)ing deal with it. Jesus.

Yeah, no one gets that, at all.

And you’re right, Risto would our score what Josi and Subban did last year, cause he’s that good.

Holy hell

- sbroads24

The last two seasons Risto put up 41 and 45 points.

If you can't see him putting up at least another 10 points playing on a team with talent then I don't know what to tell you.

I already explained that those two were never in the category of a generation type Talent

And yes a 20 year old is bust ..

Just like . Ryan Johansen, scheifele, Pietrangelo, niederreiter ,Marchessault, Granlund

But he was just recovering from a " mystery injury " but thats nothing to you...

So yes 13 pts in 15 games is good

Are you like crazy right now? He was considered a defenseman you could win a cup with
in the Drew Doughty Elite Class...

Now he's just above average

Sam is having a " half successful season " and he does not deserve a long-term contract

I would just give him a one-year deal 3 million

See if he can back it up next year in October
