The QB ranking, prognostications are pretty varied, with no consensus 1st...although Rosen seems to have floated to the top in many.

I find it interesting to hear several analysts hold size and attitude against Mayfield.
I do get it to some extent, but the size thing impacts accuracy primarily...and he has been the most accurate in his college career in all areas of the field..I would think that issue would have already surfaced by now. As far as his attitude, he is a free spirit apparently, but his teammates love him and follow him.
I hope it lowers his rating where the Bills could say move to like 10 rather than top 5 to work a draft day deal...a little less expensively.

No - for NFL QBs, size reflects the ability to see over, and more importantly throw over the 10 collected bodies and outstretched arms of the offensive and defensive linemen. Those are always big big guys.

So accuracy, indirectly, I guess, but much much more than that.

And that isn't to say that Mayfield cant do it. You get guys like him, and Brees, who are exceptions to the rule.

The 50 man contract limit is only for NHL contracts, which include entry level deals.

DMB is on an AHL deal, which does not count.

- TheSabresTaco

does his age, and production in the echl and skill set justify one of our 50 man contracts

that was the question

kid may be a project, but has skill

a whiskey top was brought up

the ape told us for the 6th time why nelson is a free agent

what else is there to talk about?

ice girl?

your future trip to some far off place?

Best described as cause and effect.
Cause is tall linemen make it hard to see
Effect is lower accuracy

no to moving ROR now
No Ristro isn't
No sense talking about the draft till you know where your drafting
Bills making some nice moves solid draft and it should be a good year.

Agreed GO SABRES!
that's racist.

filling the back up rb and second cb before free agency starts makes me wonder if they are going to package to move up in the draft

now their needs are

2 linemen
1 or 2 wr
1 dt
1 de
2 lbs

and a qb

Ror playing well, no need to move. We are not in a total rebuild.
Risto is a beast. Plain and simple. Tough guy to olay against. Backed it up with the kadri fight.

Why are we going to be good next year : discuss

Top 2018 pick
Eichel in year 4
Mitts gonna be one of the top rookies
19 year old 8th over all pick in rochester figuring it out
Guhle and ullmark playing great in the ahl (both could have been in the nhl under a different gm. This year)
Risto - best defenseman on sabres since Brian Campbell

Couple of 55 to 60 point guys
Ror And okposo

Sam , antipin, Nelson , erod all showing signs of nhl regulars.

Wilson #16 winger spot with rings.
Chad is a decent #2 goalie

Some prospects: who knows guys in the ahl
Cj
Bailey
Babtiste

What's not to like?

Buffslo Bills are picking:

Harrison Phillips out of Stanford.
Dt fits the process.
Pick of need with darius gone and would give Kyle another reason to stay.

This is as slam dunk of a pick ever.

Graduated with honors
2 degrees and a minor
Out of STANFORD

May trade down a few spots and take him

Kc pick #22 traded with the darius 5th to Phili for foles
Bills receive Phili 4th rounder.
Bills get lucky and pick Griffin with that pick.
His inspiration and on field play lead us to afc conference game at jags.
9-3 bills.
Foles throws it to himself for the only td score.
Zay drops 2 point conversion

Reasons we might be worse next year:

Mittlestadt might not play in the NHL next season
The 8th overall pick won't play in the NHL next season
Guhle might have an up and down rookie season and can't stay healthy
Uhlmark and Johnson could be inconsistent and an injury is tough to deal with
Smith, Bailey, Baptiste, and Fasching might just be AHL players
Antipin and Nelson are inexperienced and could regress, both are still risky players

Improving takes more goals. A similar roster returning, without Kane, might score less and be worse.

I love this place. Guy gets in slump, all the sudden you need to move the guy. Guy gets back on track..nope don't touch him.

Really gotta broaden the spectrum around here.

Nylander and goaltending, I think you're spot on. However, Guhle has gotten the slow roll on development and I believe he can be a solid guy next year. Actually think it's more probable.

And guys like Smith, Bailey, Baptiste and Fasching MAY all be AHL players, but fortunately we have worse AHL forwards like Nolan, Criscuolo Josefson and Larsson playing for us...so either way they will be an improvement.

Mitts may or may not be here, but I'd wager he is. Everytime I watch him play I think, "Why is he in college again". He does need to get stronger to play 82, but that's probably the easiest thing to do. He's above those guys already and by a significant, noticeable margin.
