“But Josh Rosen FAILED to play up to expectations, struggling with his accuracy and ball placement in drills.”

Well that’s weird
Someone told me that Rosen was so great at the combine...

It's easy to be right about negative things.

"He'll never be that"

"He'll never live up to the hype"

We'll see if Jack 100 - I mean 90 - shows up big time, or Nylander tears it up. And I don't mean to tear those opinions down, but being right about bad things happening leads to more negative predictions, which is not a fun way to experience fandom

- jcragcrumple

Or some people just know that a player doesn't have that IT factor for the next level

And Jack was on a massive streak he would have hit 90

The Leafs, of course, represent the self-described "Center of the Hockey Universe"...

No Leafs fan has ever used this phrase.

Well you were right about the Sabres being bottom 5 this year.

Okposo is pretty good with Eichel though, and he'll be a nice 3rd liner in a couple years. Calling him suckposo is a little much imo

WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE LEFT SIDE? It's literally upside down. Why does Housley hate Pouliot so much?

But we didn't sign this dude for the 3rd line that to me is a waste of money please don't list Phil Kessel being on the third line

And I called him that when we were rumored to sign him I wanted to nothing to do with him just another John T Lackey

But it would be smart for the Sabres organization to find someone in the summer to take on that contract before we're stuck with it

It's not like it's that much better with Pouliot and Zemgus flipped

That left side is AWFUL

There is zero doubt that Pouliot is the superior 5-on-5 points producer though. Girgs has 1 point with ROR, granted, but he only has 1 point without ROR/Eichel at 5-on-5. I guess the reasoning is "he won't score without ROR, so maybe he will get a point with him."

Svechnikov on a 17 game point streak right now with 18 goals and 15 assists in that time frame for 33 points.

Don’t get me wrong,
I think Rosen is a beast
And if we’d trade up for him,
I’d be totally on board

Because like i said before...
“how a QB throws at the combine doesn’t mean much”

30ish throws when you’re not in pads & there's no defense don’t give anywhere near the picture that the HUNDREDS of throws during actual games makes

Everyone already knew that Rosen was awesome, WAY before he threw at the combine

Why Criscuolo? Why not O'Regan or Nylander?

I know RW is the one spot we are actually “deep” at...
but can we please get Baptiste some legit freaking playing time?!

Idc about Pouliot moving up or not,
i don’t see him back

Baptiste moves up makes sense
And ABSOLUTELY try Sam back at Center,
Why not?

Especially because the RW position is currently the position of strength. Moving him to center gets Baptiste a nice top-6 or at least top-9 shot

Apparently Botts doesn’t feel the need to see some of these guys up here
Although i do agree, it would be nice for us...
but the priority is clearly Rochester at this point

Yep
Totally agree

If we are gonna have someone up here like Baptiste (who may be a part of the future)...
then let’s see what he can do!
Give him legit linemates & icetime
No reason not to
