Something I always wondered.. but with <20 games left, is it possible that the team has to adjust their break outs and in game strategies before the playoffs?

For instance, if the Flyers are constantly doing the same set up plays, the same predictable break out and zone entries for these last 20 games, teams will hone in on that when preparing for the playoffs. However, if the team switches things up now, adds a few wrinkles, it might be harder for teams to prepare come playoff time?

Just an idea of why the team is playing so differently. They seem to have gotten away from what was working so right, but perhaps teams eventually figure out their game plan, and they become more one dimensional. So the team has to shake things up? I'm not saying this is what's happening, but with the post season around the corner, its time for some gamesmanship.

I'd save any gamesmanship for the playoffs. There are only so many breakout schemes and strategies. Teams and coaches have seen it all. It comes down to execution. The Flyers didn't lose a game in February. I don't see any reason to panic based on the last 3 games. They didn't play well against Carolina. Should've won in TB and got thrashed by Florida after playing 3 in 4 nights and on the second night of a back to back. While Florida who is motivated to get into a playoff spot was waiting for them.

I think the odds are in our favorite that we make the playoffs but let's not act like this team is incapable of a ten game winless streak. This past week has been such a disappointment. Our depth isn't great. My god is that third and fourth line as well as the third D pair less than inspiring.

All I know is, it's been along time since we've hosted a game one and game two. This team needs to reach out and grab this opportunity. The schedule isn't gonna do us any favors this week.

I can respect a man who has written the same song 500 times and can still be considered a great song writer. He's pretty much the Charles Manson of music with how he can fool and influence the weak minded.

"I like mine with lettuce and tamaters,
Blah blah blah and french fried pataters..."
How can you rag on a guy who writes such deep and moving lyrics?
Gotta go, I'm searching for my lost shaker of salt, (the fries could use some).

If you makes you feel any better, I'm out with a LBI cause I stepped on my pop top.

The issue most probably have with Frost being here next year is that Hextall will overbake a prospect unless they blow them away in all phases of the game. TK slipped in and probably shouldn't have being as how he was handled by Hakstol with the frequent line changing and scratching. I think they'd rather him develop down in the AHL and then come up with a set role like Lindblom did.

Konecny played a lot as a rookie, and mostly on scoring lines with other good players. Nothing that happened to him or Patrick as rookies would make me think Frost should be in the CHL as a 19 year old even if he is great in camp and the preseason.

I've got tickets for the game Wednesday night. Anxious to see what this storm brings. Hopefully it's not as bad as I'm hearing it could be. Has anyone ever had tickets to a game that was postponed before? How bad does it have to be for them to go that route?

Probably "state of emergency " status. I'm hearing 5 to 9 so that probably won't be enough to postpone.

He's gonna come in and score a first period hat trick. However, late in the period, he will make a turnover that does not result in a scoring chance against. For the remainder of the game, his ass will be stapled to the bench in favor of Brandon Turnover Manning.
- jmatchett383

Just looked up turnover stats surprising Manning isn’t even near the worst. Easy to not like Manning as he’s an undrafted 6/7 guy and the easy guy to take out of the lineup. Especially for those with low hockey IQ in the last 5 games when Flyers have stumbled Gudas is-2 with 1pt,Manning +2 with 4 pts;Hagg-1 with 2 pts,Amac-3 with 0 pts,Provy -1 with 4 pts, and Ghost -3 with 1 pt .Actually thought Gudas and Manning were not the worst pairings the last two games in Florida. For the year Provy has 77 Giveaways,Gudas 44,Ghost41,Amac 40,Hagg 34,Manning(Whipping boy) 28 , then Sanheim (Rover )22 in 35 games. Plus ,minus the only bad one is Sanheim at -10 in 35 games.

Factor that turnover count by time on ice or it's not a fair assessment. Then look at skill level faced. All turnovers are not equal.

Not saying Ivan hit a rough patch but to just say he has the most isn't seeing the whole picture.

Absolutely true. Players like Provorov and Gostisbehere who play a lot normally are going to have higher number of giveaways based on how they play and the amount of ice time they get. For being that type of player though, Gostisbehere's giveaway numbers are really good. Provorov could tighten up a little with the puck. Manning is what he is as a player but that doesn't change that in my opinion he is a better player than given credit for by most. None of that changes that the Flyers defense still needs to be upgraded to be a true contender.
