Wow...just tuned in.
...and out again.
Glad to see the Hawks embracing the "lose for the lottery" strategy.
I approve, but I won't waste my time witnessing much of it. |

This is a DISGRACE !! I can't stand the Q notes that he writes in his little black book after every goal. I wonder what he writes ????? Keith Great, Seabrook ok, Toews consistent, Kane competing ????? God make it stop. - Hawkytalk
I thought I read in an interview with him that it is actually the who f'ed up notes. He only seems to make notes when we get scored on and not vice versa. |

Arizona is 7-2-1 in their last 10. We are destined to even have them pass us. |

Hawks need to go the youth hockey route and have mandatory summer training sessions well before the typical training camp. Get those underachieving vets with big salaries busting their asses all summer to be as ready as possible for next season. - EnzoD
Oh Toews would never allow for that. I'm sure he'll be mountain climbing somewhere else in the world with his bad back.....and continue his veggie eating.
BRUTAL !!

Well this isn't too unexpected... Last year's Western Conference #1 seed had Hossa, Panarin, Hammer, Hartman, Panik, Campbell, Oduya, VanRiemsdyk, Kruegar, Kempny, Darling, Moose and Crawford. Huge turnover in personnel. This current team seriously looks like an AHL team built around Kane, Schmaltz, AA, Toews, Keith and Seabrook... |

Keith has scored as many goals into his own net this season as he has the opponent's. |

Listened to Q’s last interview on the Hawks’ site. Doesn’t seem to have a care in the world and seems to be taking absolutely no responsibility for the team’s play this year. Basically said if the players had played better the team would not be in this position. Said the entire team didn’t perform except for maybe 2 young players. Q there’s there’s the door buddy - don’t let it hit you in your arrogant ass on your way out. - Z3Hawk
That was very telling. He has been laying it at the players' feet for a few weeks, now. Yes, they have a large share of the blame, but to not look in the mirror at all is incredibly arrogant. Look what he just said about Kane, of all people.
Joel Quenneville pointed out how much attention Kane draws from opponents and praised him for his work ethic and preparation. But even he admitted he expects more from Kane, fair or not.
“He finds a way every year to get a little bit better,” Quenneville said. “This is the one year where I don’t know if he went to that next level.”
Not terrible, but c'mon, dude. Maybe sticking him with AA (too slow now) and Jurco (WTF) and taking Schmaltz away from him has had an effect? Of course, Kane blames himself anyway.
And, does Q not changing the lines in this abomination of a game mean he's trying to tank? has just given up? So out-of-character for him. Of course, in that same interview you reference, he talks about how stability is so important.

Yeah trade Hartman, Wingels and send down Hayden, Bouma. That's really tougher to play against. |

Absolutely. ....that's the goal. I wonder if Q will bring out an old Ditka quote....." we may not win another game.
62 points now huh ??? WOW......
Yes by all means let's give Quenneville and Bowman another year !!! Right.

TVR would be the second best defenseman on this team. Let that sink in. |

With all the blocked shots, getting stripped of the puck, and getting caught pinching-in, I'd place TVR above Keith this year lol.
Edit: Part of it though is due to being stuck with Oesterle this year. |

True, true, true... Though Wingels, Bouma and Hayden gave it their all and did make it tougher to play against the Hawks. The problem with Hartman is he would have thunderous hits and great moves but then completely disappear at times. |
