Obviously, but the only reason I'm giving it any attention is that if you scroll back you'll see a tweet I posted from Bob McKenzie mentioning Cullen is still a possibility. |

Yeah he won't get traded but he won't resign. he will have 2-3 cups at the end of his deal, some team will pay him big and he should move on. - sammy87

On a non-trade deadline related note...
It's pretty amazing not too long ago the Pens were a negative double digit goal differential and now they're a +20. |

I'd say Sheary or Horny for a mid pairing Dman in a 'hockey' trade. I say that ZAR showed he can do what Horny does good enough for the future, and I don't want him resigned after this season. If we are in the business of moving out UFA, he is the only one left. Also was that rumor (was it on here or in a real article?) that Sid hates playing with him I saw a week or so ago.

Hornqvist is essential to the success of this team. Among forwards he is the fourth most valuable after Crosby, Malkin, and Kessel. He is the only player who regularly stands in front of the net and tries to get into the heads of goalies. Every opposing goalie hates him (Cam Ward hating him the most). If the Pens lost him they would not have a perfect replacement among any of their current players. In fact, the biggest postseason concern of this team is that it is almost inevitable that they won't be able to resign him, especially if they three-peat. They could buy out Hagelin but I don't think that will be enough to compete for him in an open market. |

The way I could see Cullen returning would be a late addition on deadline day when JR finds himself with extra cap space and all his other options fall through. There was an article on The Athletic saying Minny might want the cap space. Maybe we could charge them a pick for the cap space.
I gotta say, adding Brassard and gaining cap space is pure genius.
I still want Pouliot. |

Culldog sounds like crazy talk, although, the only scenario I see is the Wild were negotiating with JR thinking it was a done deal if 'they' wanted it so they started looking at options for them that would be better than Culldog. Now shock & surprise we get Brassard & don't need Culldog, the Wild may have something ready & need Culldog off the books. Going cheap cheap. Is JR sentimental? |

Would love Cullen as our 13th forward. Probably more sentimental than anything but still. Think he’s still better than Rowney

I just can't see how they'd want to mess with what they have down the middle. NO TEAM has that kind 1-4 punch.
Cullen would definitely a major upgrade from Rowney, but he's just not as good as Sheahan.
If I'm the Pens I'm staying put with this lineup.
EDIT: Seems we're all on the same page on how we feel about Hunwick, but when you think about last season, if the Pens can win the cup with Hainsey in their top pairing, they can certainly win it with Hunwick in the 3rd pair.
Don't make any more significant moves. |

Not sure of the tax rates over there, but 1m at 40%/45% you look at a 600k difference give or take between 5m & 6m. What home town discounts do players give to stay with a team? Maybe Hornys wife gets a gig on the Pens at a very high salary (which may or may not be a cap issue??). Not sure they let him go even with ZAR as we don't have any close to ready depth players in WBS do we? ZAR is that depth. |

As a senior member of a team he would be great in the room, but the Pens are going to play the fast up tempo game, can the old fella even keep up this year? |

Not sure if it has been addressed and don’t have the patience to sort through 8 pages.
Visa issues kept Brassard out of the line up tonight. Is it safe to assume Tuesday will be his first? |
