Jonah Javad on GR just a little ago, said he thought the Sabre locker room was immature. And that several of the younger players took their partying as seriously as hockey. I have no idea of the trustworthiness of this. But I'd hate it if it were a byproduct of Phil Housley being a "player's coach".

So we're going to trade possibly Dahlin or a goal scoring winger in Zads/sevch, Reinhart, Bailey, and take on 16.5M in cap space for P.Kane who's due to start slowing down soon. Yeah, I'll stayed tuned for the GMJB firing if that happens.

Trading his biggest piece will obviously be tricky, but I really wish he would begin unloading some of the lesser pieces now so that there isn't so much work to be done on deadline day.

Yeah, I see that now. P. Kane is amazing, but I would still hate to take on another big contract with money/term going for years to come on a guy who's soon due to be hitting that slow down window. If we could off-set some of Kane's deal by sending them ROR, it would be much easier to swallow.

I do not feel comfortable relying on Hossa's contract being exempt from the cap based on the nonsense used to get him exempt for this season.

If they let the Blackhawks do it, there's no reason they wouldn't let any other team do it.

That being said the whole premise of this trade is nonsense.

Why bother trading Hossa if it's not counting against the cap hit?
