I firmly believe you can find fault to some degree with every player in the locker room

if jack produced on the pp for the first 25 games

etc
etc
etc

- homiedclown

when you're closing in on last place of course, but varying degrees. Benoit is a meh guy, but all he took to bring in was a meh 1 year deal in FA, so not much was expected.

It's the guys we expected difference making from that have failed to make much of a difference, Kane and Lehner included.

I think Jack was creating when nobody was scoring, some were snake bit others just suck.

ROR is a tougher one to read cause of the back thing. Risto definitely should be. Im just saying that id group them all together, not less or more. equally culpable imo

How many players off the current roster do you think he ships out at the deadline?
- PrinceChill

I think there's a real possibility of only one. I'll go with two though.

I'd like to be wrong. The D is pretty banged up, so maybe Gorges for a 5th isn't worth the hassle. How many forwards can actually help a playoff team? ....guess we'll find out soon.

not saying there aren't other big problems but when your prize acquisition has as many goals 5v5 by the end of Feb as Benoit Balls, that's just as big of a problem.
- Sabresfan-365

It means your team sucks as much as anything genius. Try to stop equating the NHL to the MLB.

Oh me too. Last turns into 4th oa which is better than 2nd to last turning into 5th oa and so on though.
- TheHank

I completely agree. Dead last is the one thing I am hoping for. At worst you are getting an NHL ready player in Brady Tkachuk. If we drop out of top 4 we may be getting a good D-man with real upside but they won't be ready for a few more years, less with Hughes. Honestly I have no faith in the lottery, I would love to get Dhalin or Svechnikov (who I personally believe is better than Zadina) but at least finishing dead last there is the prospect of having BT and CM playing together, which could be very good for the Sabres. It doesn't hurt that some scouts believe that Brady will be better than both his father and brother.

If GMJB is as good as some believe, he will impress us all with the return he gets at the deadline.

Granted. I am fully prepared for Monday to come and go, with virtually nothing gained to help this team.

I like your handle Over50 because I too am over 50.

Good info. Tell Jack's future father in law that Jack needs to do some ankle strengthening exercises this summer!

- SabreWest

I watched some Boston, Mass. hockey show(on YouTube) that followed Jack for a few days leading to his draft.. going through his diet, gym workout, hockey games(like the games in Foxboro with prospects)... Dude, this guy is an absolute animal. His endurance, strength, explosiveness, it's out of control.

I know people were getting on him this season for his endurance this season -- going back to the bench just gassed; he's hungry, man. You don't work out as hard, every day, for most of your day, like Jack does, and just get comfortable at work at ditch everything you've done to get there. It's part of your life.

Jack is a monster, I could not keep up with that dude.

Kane will bring some value. I don't see another move that gets more than a third rounder. Was hoping Lehner would move, but that seems unlikely now.

My source told me that JBotts hired a narcoleptic secretary, Pegula pushed for more diversity in the workplace. Anyway we had Lehner to Philly locked in but the secretary was out cold and missed the window. Shame shame shame

JBotts went to Philly personally to explain but his CTE kicked in and flipped the coffee and doughnuts table in a fit of rage.

it's funny captain Jack is pointing to Kane and Lehner as the biggest reasons we are no good, paraphrasing

there are much bigger issues on the ice than those 2

- homiedclown

Those guys are the problems. Not sure why people still can't see it.
