Once upon a time, McLaren, Orr, Phaneuf, Mike Brown and Mark Fraser all played together, at the same time on the same team. Holy (frank).

Shortened season. Can't fly off the cliff if the road ends before the cliff arrives.

Agreed he will be named captain. I'd prefer he didn't block that shot though.
- PlatosRepucklic

Matthews has a lot of compete in him, and he’s young. Comes with the territory.

Speaking of how bad Komarov sucks and how he needs to be replaced, how about Teemu Hartikainen as a candidate to be his replacement?

Left winger, 27 years old, 6'1, 215 and the past five years, his KHL numbers have been pretty impressive. Pretty much Komarov 2.0 by the looks of it.

(frank), with goals like this, he could replace some other guys too.

Well when the Leafs traded Mark Fraser, they got Teemu Hartikainen's rights so they should know who he is.

Oh I agree. But we also need him on the ice. I'd hate to see him get injured and miss significant time for blocking a shot that in the grand scheme of things doesn't mean a whole lot.

I get it though. It's part of who he is, and part of what makes him special.

Playing heavy doesn’t mean your 220 pounds
I understand your point
Maroon
And lucic are big boys but do not play heavy (physical)
Hyman is maybe 195poubds but he plays heavy (physical) iow excites to be an nhl player. Would you play heavy and get excited for $1mil a year and often more $$$ like lucic. Hyman is a gem

- BreathLeafs2015

you missed my point....lucic does play a 'heavy' game...which is usually a power forward without the wheels, but punishes players and chips in offensively by driving to the net.
But I would rather have someone who isn't afraid of the bumping and crashing, but is jacked with speed and skill.
The 'heavy' game of the bruins, kings cup winners is a thing of the past as evidenced by the Pens.

So, Ive heard this from a few folks, and now on the TV. Leafs might target Mike Green. Thoughts?

I don't think Green is a good fit for the Leafs. 1 Jake Gardiner is enough. I'd be surprised if Green didn't end up in Tampa.
