Bummed about the Simmonds injury but also not going to pretend that he was playing 100% before he got hurt anyway. |

I will say this, It us interesting that they had Detroit retain 50% of the salary when not needed. I'm sure this has been addressed already, but could another deal be in the works for some depth? I guess we shall see |

From the few games I've seen Mrazek play. Great puck handler, very athletic and extremely aggressive in net for better or worse. When things are clicking it's beautiful to watch, when they're not its painful.
I still remember him at the WJC's some years back and dominating. |

I didnt want to see any injuries but you had to know we would have one to a key player. Of the key players, Simmonds is easier to replace, except his grit, which has been less this year, probably due to injury. Even when he did fight he was careful, makes me think it is his hand.
best case, Lindbolm plays really well, they get simmer back and and one of the 3 dead weights is moved.
Lethera is playing the best of the 3. |

Filp is gone at end of the year.
Lehtera has one year left.
.... UGH I can't even type it.
Also:
Manning could be gone after this season
Gudas could be trade bait to make space for Morin.
I see Hagg resigned on a bridge |

This is exactly how I see it. Im excited for Lindblom and hope he can make a strong case for himself to stay the rest of the year. I also hope that Hak gives him a bit of leeway early on... |

I’m surprised Hextall wanted salary retained, unless this portends another deal in the works. I believe they have enough cap space to take on all of Mrazek’s salary. - Sublime55
I'm not a cap guru but I do believe with 3 goalies (2 on the IR), Simmonds on the IR, last year's bonus money, 2 healthy scratches and Read buried they are up on the cap now. |

losing simmonds for a couple 3 weeks isn't the end of the world. hopefully, he can use that rest to his advantage for the final run.
really excited to see lindblob, especially want to see his play around the net.
as for mrazek, he stopped 26 out of 30 SO shots last year. 0.889 save percentage. that's impressive. for the love of god let's hope he can tap in to that, considering 9 out of every 7 games goes into OT/SO. i like this trade.

they can trade that contract, somehow or someway.
I would tell Weise, you better out there and play like you did last game, drop the gloves hit everything that moves.
They expected grit from Weise instead they got grout.
