Now that would be fun to watch. A solid, very, very solid start.

It must be a ROR, I would think that is the big Homie is referencing.
While I do want to trade ROR, I would like another year from him or so, such that Casey can be brought along slowly...not it all thrown at h8m. ROR did Cary the pressure for Jack the past several years.

- IonSabres

Has nothing to do with what Homie said, it's just my opinion.

Agree, but at the end of the day, if it's "just" Sanheim (just an example, as I have no idea if Hextall would part with him), I'd be fine with that.

I've been saying for a few days that we should offer ROR and Ristolainen for P. Kane and Duncan Keith, have Chicago add a pick/prospect due to the age and cap difference, call it a day. Chicago needs to desperately re-tool and trading Saad again isn't the answer.
- BeadyEyedDouche

I don't know how Kane and Keith are the answers for us? 30 and 35 respectively next year.

They may be better than what we're giving up, but you're still adding two bad contracts

Between now and the inevitable lockout, the only 30+ players this team should consider are the guys they can bring in on 1 year deals and flip for pick(s) at the deadline.

They probably aren’t ready to trade Kane though

I bet we could get Saad from them really cheap though
A 3rd would be my guess

And i do think Saad can still be a good player
We could also use a LW

Leadership that everyone is saying we need.

Experience. Skill. Instantly upgrades both our top-6 forwards and top-3 defense.

Risto has peaked. ROR is ROR. We add by subtracting. Fans become interested next year simply because of P. Kane and the thought of him and Eichel playing together. Patty plays a safe game, his body isn't as worn down as other players his age. Keith would do wonders for a guy like McCabe, Guhle, Nelson, etc... More than what Risto has to offer.

Chicago throws in pick/prospect, we use that to fill a defensive zone faceoff role, dump Girgensons, Larsson in the offseason, call up some guys from Ra-cha-cha, Casey Middlestat skips the AHL and college next year and we don't miss either ROR or Risto.

Chicago gets younger, we get much needed experience and leadership. Win for both teams.

Edit: edited lol

Chicago trades Saad, just to trade for him back, only to trade him again? I lose like 2 phones in NHL Be A GM mode when I do that

I think while it may give us a short term boost, long term it would cripple us. It's already hurting the blackhawks.

Kane has dropped below PPG pace and Duncan keith has 1 goal in 60 games.

ROR doesn't have a clause, his buyout proof contract basically eliminates 25 teams from considering him though

I hear ya,
but they are very limited to what they can do bc of NMCs they gave out

Saad is like the only big contract who doesn’t have one (i think?)

As am I.

Unless they extend Kane.

Then I will be very unhappy to be here.
