I'd honestly do a Risto and ROR for Kane, Keith and a 2nd trade and never look back. and I at least think Chicago nibbles, if not fully bites that.

A "hockey" trade

- BeadyEyedDouche

Unlikely..
Maybe Brandon Saad needs a change of scenery. Wonder what Chicago would want for him?

A "hockey" trade I cooked up on my N64

Okay guy, blame it on Scandella.

And yeah, I've seen the play a hundred times, and it's been infuriating a hundred times because the first thing you learn in pee-wee IS TO NEVER ATTEMPT A DROP-PASS, let alone in your own zone.

- BeadyEyedDouche

You're also taught not to make a cross-ice pass in front of your own net, but NHL defensemen do it in spades every single game. When you're paid that kind of money, you're allowed to take liberties.

There has been nothing, trade wise, that we have missed out on. There's a week yet.

The flyers got the goaltender

So who's left for Robin ? The Islanders

Keep him,

If you think lehner is bad now, wait until after the trade deadline.

Pouty poutyford is going to show up to work on february 27th as a member of the 30th place buffalo sabres.

Everyone is going to say: see he's good
, the defense is the problem. Jbotts loves him.

In reality, lehner is doing exactly what we want.
No way he is resigned

You see them not qualifying Lehner and letting him walk?

I see them trying to trade him now
Then trying to trade him at the draft
Then letting him walk
No way they pay him 4 plus million.
Just my opinion, but he's part of the problem, along with some other guys.

Big difference is he has a replacement ready in Rochester that the current gm traded a pick too protect.

Ullmark looks good

I agree with you. Obviously, it would be nice to get something back for him.

Some do not like this list but:

Jack
Ror
Okposo
Risto
Nelson
Antipin
Erod
Wilson
McCabe
Scandella
Pommer

Are the 11 keepers

Sam * maybe
Kane
Larson
Bowl u
Faulk
Gorges
Girgs
Nolan
Lehner
Josefson * maybe
Pouliot
All part of the tank express - smell you later

Probably stuck with
Moulson
Blowgo

Resign to back up ullmark - chad

That's a lot of moves to pull off in one summer. Frankly, I don't care about most of your keepers. I see this more as a 2 year purge. Next years crop of rookies has me a little optimistic, but most will need at least half a season in Rochester.

I agree with most of your list but i would like Pommer and one of the big two (ROR/OKO) contracts gone. They can't tie up that kind of $cash for the type of production they are receiving.

I totally agree, I just think pommer isn't going to be mistreated by his friend : jbotts.

Ror could be moved
Okposo would be harder to move.

We are going to be young and cheap in quite a few spots.

Guhle
Ullmark
Nylander
Mitts

Cj smith?
Babtiste?
Bailey?

The last 3 might not even be nhl players.

Hopefully jbotts gets a couple decent free agents, the 2018 pick and a good young goalie to go tandem with ullmark.

That's a bunch of moves but, most are free agents who can just go away.
Probably their last stop in the nhl is buffalo this season

That's part of why I see it as a 2 year purge. I doubt you can dump Pommer on anyone, and I don't think it makes sense to buy him out. I just accept him as the new Gionta. If things don't improve, Bogo is a buyout candidate after next year.

The long term deals (RoR, Okposo, and Risto) are a different story. I have no problem moving any of them.

Wow. That game tonight was a real eye-closer. first time i have actually fallen asleep during a hockey game in years. Woke back up in the middle of the second period and was fast asleep again well before the third. Holy hell. As much as i want them to just tank on and lose out, a little bit of entertainment would go a long way around here. Hopefully we can be entertained at the deadline cause it sure as hell isnt happening on the ice with this team. Let the bad short term contracts play out, i dont want to be paying guys against the cap any longer than needed. Sink the (frank)ing ship.

Yep, they do it all the damn time. I'm pretty desensitized to it now, but every once in a while I cringe.

The reason when you're just starting out and they tell you all these things is so that you learn the fundamentals. Once you actually get good you can determine when and when not to do those things, they will go bad every now and then. That's just the nature of the beast. It's humans out there playing, not robots, humans make mistakes.

Although robots actually capable of playing hockey would be pretty sweet. Not like those little bastards that "play" soccer.

IF Buffalo ate 2.5 million of EK9's salary,
would that be enough to get Travis Sanheim from Philadelphia? What would Arizona want for Niklas Hjalmarsson?

Reinhart for Saad. Do it
- chilliard77

At least the main pieces of a trade.

Scandella
Pulliot
Kane
Reinhart

Those are the 4 i would look to move at deadline. Eichel is the only player off limits, maybe even some your high talent (Middlestadt, Ghule, Nylander). The fact everyone blames Housley for not being a "NHL head coach"... What GMTM did by gutting the minors, paying high salaries/assests for Okposo, Moulson, ROR, Kane, Bogosian, Gorges, Gionta, Kulikov, Lehner and Legwand put this team dramatically behind. GMJB and Phil needed the year evaluate and start tearing down from here forward. (And I was blind about Tim Murrays capability as a GM. How very wrong I was)

He's a group 6 UFA based on qualifiers. He regaines RFA status after this contract much like Tim Schaller.

If he gets to 80 nhl games. Seems likely, but not automatic.

I understand that. You said he regains RFA after his next contract. That's only true if he gets to 80.

It too late, the league sees this disaster and no GM wants this bunch.

I’ll say MAYBE a 2nd added to a prospect for Kane.

No one else is wanted or will be moved. Market is flooded.

Atta boy Botts - hopefully this is just a rookie year/tank and we don’t have another slug in the office
